"Right," Callie reluctantly.

"That's all for now," Donna stated. "Come Bret."  He took the tape before walking out.

The next day, Callie headed over to Sweet Pea's trailer, she left some notes there, on her way, she got a call from him.

"Pea," Callie smiled as she answered the phone.

"I am so happy to hear your voice," Sweet Pea admitted.

"How is the job going?" Callie asked. "Be back by Friday?"

"Friday night," Sweet Pea answered as Callie walked down the path that led straight to the trailer.

"I'm being forced into going to some Stonewall holiday Friday," Callie stated.

"Forced?" Sweet Pea repeated as Callie looked back, she saw someone dart behind a tree.

"Jughead wouldn't take a no," Callie answered as she turned down a path that would take her in an opposite direction.

"Well, when you get home from that lame ass party, I will be here waiting for you," Sweet Pea said as his voice got soft at the end. " I have to go, I love you."

"I love you too," Callie responded quickly before he ended the call. She ended going back towards her house.

"Where are the notes?" Betty asked as Callie sat on the Jones's couch.

"I couldn't get it," Callie answered. "Someone was following me."

"What?" Betty asked.

"If I kept going, they would have figured out where his trailer was located, and go to the notes," Callie answered. "They aren't safe there anymore."

"Then we will just have to move them," Betty stated. "We will do it tonight." Callie nodded her head.

"We will need to gather some serpents," Callie said.

Night came, Callie was on her way to the trailer alone once again, and it was pretty obvious that she was being followed. She purposely kept making wrong turns, while she led them astray, Betty was getting the notes that were left at Sweet Pea's trailer.

"Shortstop," Sweet Pea greeted once Callie answered the person calling her.

"Treetopper," Callie smiled.

"We got the job done and I will be coming home early," Sweet Pea informed.

"Maybe you can make it to the party," Callie hoped.

" I love you," Sweet Pea said.

"I love you too," Callie said before he hung up the phone. She turned the corner to see Bret standing there, he had a golf club.

"You've been leading me on a cold trail," Bret stated as Callie backed up. "Take me to the trailer, no more games Shortstop."

"I don't know what you are talking about," Callie stated.

"I was told that you would be going to Sweet Pea's trailer," Bret stated as he swung the golf club around. He stepped forward, she stepped back. "You of all people would know where it is, right?" Callie put her phone on the inside of her coat pocket.

"Why are you so interested in his trailer?" Callie asked.

"He has something that I want," Bret answered.

"You two only interacted once, I highly doubt that," Callie denied as she backed up more.

"But Donna heard you talking about having notes at his trailer," Bret brought up. "I am intrigued by what they could be."
