Chapter 40: Helping Hand

"It'll be hard for me to fight in the air. I'll work on the Nomus from below, you and Endeavor take down that one" I said, looking up at the flying Nomu. It looked strong, and Enji was having a hard time fighting it. But if I shot at it from below, I had a good chance of hitting Enji in the process. And if I teleported to a weapon, my air time would only be for a moment before I fall back down.

"Sounds good" Hawks was quick to agree. His feathers returned to him and he quickly flew towards Endeavor. I flipped over a charging Nomu, landing in a crouch.

A rope Kunai formed on my right wrist and I launched it towards the Nomu, the kunai impaled its head, killing it immediately. (Like Scorpion from Mortal Kombat)

My wrist reverted back and I did a small roll to dodge another Nomu. I grabbed a throwing knife from my belt and threw it at the Nomu, hitting it in the chest. I teleported to the knife and my arms turned into a pump shotguns. I aimed the barrels in its face and shot immediately. It dropped to the ground, its face destroyed completely, I grabbed my knife from its chest and put it back on my belt.

I helped get other civilians out of the way, making sure no one was injured as well. I looked up just in time to see Endeavor get hit in the eye, blood spraying everywhere.

"Dammit" I mumbled and sprinted over to his fallen body. "Come on, you're not going down like this" I willed him, looking at his injury.

"H-He's too strong" Enji coughed out, struggling to move from the crater.

"Never thought I'd hear someone like you say that. Get up, you have people you have to protect!" I said, getting up from the floor.
"I'll draw his attention from you, long enough for you to get your act together"

I grabbed my flintlocks, putting my life in one and shot it at Enji. His injuries healed slowly, but his eye would definitely scar.

"Hawks! Let's go!" I called out, putting my flintlocks away. The winged hero flew down to me and I lifted my arm, he knew what I was hinting at, so he grabbed my arm and flew us both towards the Nomu.

"Draw his attention right? Shouldn't be too hard" Hawks joked.

"Just for a little, air battles aren't really my strong suit. But I'll manage" I said.

"Are you the strongest? The strongest here?" the Nomu spoke in a deep voice.

"He's a whole ass venom symbiote" I joked, trying to lighten up the situation. (Who got that reference?)

"Not the time sir" Hawks said but was clearly controlling his laughter.

"I'll enjoy killing you" Venom growled, charging at us.

"Now!" I yelled. Hawks threw me towards Venom, both my arms formed into bayonets.

I used the knife at the front of the rifles to stab it into venoms chest, setting both guns off as well.

Venom faulted back from the shot and I started to fell myself falling. Feathers hooked on to me from my back and lifted me up higher. I got rid of the bayonets and my right leg became an LMG Machine gun, the bullets flying towards the villain relentlessly.

"H/N!" Endeavor yelled.

I stopped the bullets and I let myself get carried by the feathers Hawks gave me. My leg changed back and Enji passed me, his flames even bigger than they were before.

"Get him kiddo" I muttered, watching my old student release powerful attacks on Venom. Hawks added his feathers to Enji, giving the flame hero his speed to make the ultimate attack.

"Go beyond, plus ultra!" Endeavor yelled, and performed his final attack. The flames were blinding and I turned my head from the heat of the attack. Venom dropped to the floor and Enji stood there. His fist held in the air, in victory.

"Little bastard" I huffed with a smile. Hawks lowered me to the ground and I rushed to Enji, making sure to avoid any destroyed concrete.

"Hey, it's over you did it" I said, helping the hero to stand once he almost fell over.

"Mr. L/N sir, did I do it? Did I finish it? Am I good enough to be number 1?" Enji rasped out in a tired voice. Great, he's completely delusion.

I lowered him to the floor with the help of Hawks.

"You did great, I'm proud of you" I assured. He had a faint smile before he passed out from fritigue.

"Thanks for showing up when you did" Hawks thanked, calling for medics and area sweep.

"Not a problem, huge cleanup though" I replied, getting up from the ground and flagged down some medics.

The fight was over, and now I had to have a little chat with Ren, the bastard that attacked Eri and Kota. Because Seikatsu was already on the move, and I had to be ready.

A/N: Yes I know what happens after Endeavors fight, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone else. I also have a plan for the upcoming arc that I'm creating, which we will start getting into now that season 4 is finished :) Thank you for reading and I hope you like the story so far, I can't wait to write my own arc now, straying away from the anime and manga
