Chapter 11 Eren's Trial

Y/N was eating alone in a corner of a Mess Hall where most of the people were soldiers until someone from the Military Police Brigade opened the door and entered.

"Mikasa Ackerman! Armin Arlert! Y/N Zeppeli! Are you here?!" The guy from the Military Police Brigade asked

"Sir. As for Y/N..." Mikasa stopped speaking

"I'm here." Y/N said standing up from the corner

"You've been ordered to serve as witnesses for the trial this afternoon." The guy said

Y/N went with Mikasa and Armin and they were brought to the courthouse. They were told to sit beside Rico because she was also a witness.

After a few minutes, The door opened and Eren wearing handcuffs. Eren looked at the courthouse in confusion standing there frozen.

"Get a move now." A Military Police Guard pushed Eren with his rifle

"Kneel down." The guard said

Eren knelt down and a huge pole was inserted in a hole between his handcuffs. Making Eren unable to move his hands.

"Now, let us begin." Darius Zackly the Supreme Commander said

"Eren Jaeger, correct? You are a soldier who has offered his life for mankind. Is that accurate?" Zackly asked

"Yes." Eren answered

"This is an unprecedented case. The trial will be a special court-martial in which common law does not apply with the final decision being left entirely to me. We shall also decide whether you live or die. Do you have any objections?" Zackly asked

"I don't." Eren answered

"I'm glad you're quick to uptake. I'll be blunt. As expected, hiding you from the public was impossible. Unless we declare your existence in some manner, we may be faced with a threat other than Titans. Through this trial, we shall decide which Military faction we'll charge with your custody. The Military Police Brigade or the Survey Corps. Let us begin with the Military Police Brigade's opening statement." Zackly said

"Your honor, as Commander of the Military Police Brigade, I, Nile Dok propose: After conducting a thorough research of Eren's body, we dispose of him in a proper manner." Nile Dok said and Eren's two friends were shocked.

"It was expected." Y/N said

"Why?" Armin asked

"Titans are humanity's strongest foe. They all see him as a threat even the Survey Corps." Y/N said

"It cannot be denied that his Titan power allowed us to repel the latest attack. However, his presence is also a source of discord that can incrite rebellion. Therefore, after having him impart all the information he can provide, we'll have him die as a hero to mankind." Nile said

"There's no need for that!" A voice of an old man was heard

They looked at the man beside Nile and it was a priest.

"He's a vermin that undermined the sacred walls by intruding our lands. You must kill him now!" The priest shouted

"Yare yare. It's one of those people who always feel horny whenever they see the wall." Y/N thought

"Priest Nick, quiet please." Nile whispered

"Now then, let us hear the Survey Corps' opening statement." Zackly said

"Your honor, as the Thirteenth Commander of the Survey Corps, I, Erwin Smith, propose: We of the Survey Corps will accept Eren as an official member and use his power to recapture Wall Maria. That is all." Erwin said and the courthouse was filled with silence
