Chapter 5 Trost Invasion Part 3

Y/N and Mikasa were swinging from houses to houses and they got to a tower.

"Why aren't they climbing up the wall? The bell has rung a few minutes ago." Y/N asked

Mikasa didn't answer and she was looking at a far distance.

"Mikasa?" Y/N called her

"Look." Mikasa pointed at the place where they should refill their supplies was being swarmed by Titans.

Marco was talking with Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt until someone suddenly came

"Mikasa? Y/N? Weren't you two supposed to be in the rear guard?" Marco asked seeing both Y/N and Mikasa

"Annie! I have a gist of the situation! And I apologize for sounding selfish, but have you seen Eren's squad?" Mikasa asked

"I haven't seen them. Nobody climbed the wall either." Annie said

"Oh, yeah. Armin's over there." Reiner said pointing at a terrified Armin sitting alone

"Armin!" Mikasa called and she ran to him

Armin suddenly flinched

"Mikasa! Oh god. How am I supposed to face her? There's no reason for me to have survived. I should've just died together with him back then." Armin thought as flashbacks of Eren's death flashed through his mind

"Hey, Reiner. What happened?" Y/N asked

"I don't know." Reiner said

"Annie? Bertholdt? Marco?" Y/N looked at them

"We don't know either." They said

"Those... of the 34th Training Corps Squad... Thomas Wagner... Nac Tias... Mylius Zeramuski... Mina Carolina... and Eren Jaeger... all accomplishedtheir duties and were heroically killed in action!" Armin shouted suddenly while crying catching everyone's attention

Everyone had shocked expressions on their faces.

"No way." Sasha said

"So the 34th Training Corps Squad was annihilated, huh?"

"The same will happen to us if we try fighting the Titans too."

"I'm sorry, Mikasa. Eren died in my stead... and I couldn't do anything! I'm sorry!" Armin apologized

"So they died... huh?" Y/N said

"Armin... Calm down. This isn't the time to be sentimental. Here, stand up." Mikasa said helping Armin stand up

"Marco, if we eliminate the Titans swarming the HQ, we can refill our gas and climb the wall, right?" Mikasa asked Marco

"Yeah, that's right, but even if it's you, there's too many-" Marco was cut off by Mikasa

"I can do it. I'm... strong. Stronger than all of you. Far stronger." Mikasa said raising her sword

"Dumb woman." Y/N muttered

"And so, I can kick those Titans. Even alone. Forget lacking talent. You're all nothing, but cowards. It's a real shame. Feel free to sit and watch. That's all you have to do." Mikasa said

"Hey, Mikasa, what the hell are you saying?!" A soldier asked

"You're gonna take on that many Titans all by yourself?" Another soldier asked

"There's no way that-!" Mikasa cuts off a soldier

"If I can't, I'll just die. But if I win, I live. If I don't fight, I can't win." Mikasa said before jumping off the roof and started swinging on houses.

"Ow." Y/N felt a sharp pain hit his head

"What's wrong, Y/N?" Annie asked

"Nothing. I just feel like I've heard those words before." Y/N said

"The real shame is your words. Expecting that to rile us up. It's your damn fault, Eren." Jean muttered

"Hey! I don't recall being taught to leave our comrades to fight alone. You're all gonna become real cowards!" Jean shouted and he chased after Mikasa while Connie followed after him

"No way in hell that gon' happen! I'm a Warrior!" Y/N said and he followed them. Y/N jumped off the roof backwards while showing them his middle finger.

"Cowardly idiots!" Y/N laughed

After Y/N left them and followed after Mikasa, the soldiers followed them while screaming.

Mikasa slashes a Titan's nape off while Jean, Connie and Y/N followed after them.

"Follow Mikasa! This will be a swift and decisive battle! Charge to HQ before you run out of gas!" Jean said

Y/N slides off a roof and crashes into a window of a house. Both Jean and Connie looked at him worriedly, but in turns out, Y/N did it on purpose and started running inside the house and exits the window on the other side before jumping inside another house.

"Mikasa!" Y/N heard Armin shouted

Y/N looks to the side and saw that Mikasa ran out of gas and Armin went to her. Y/N jumps out of the house and swings at a low height.

"Jean! Take a lead for everyone! I'll stickk with Armin!" Connie said and he went to Armin

"No, me too! We've got Y/N!" Jean said

"What are you saying?! There are still more Titans left! We need the skills of you both!" Connie shouted

Y/N and Jean stopped on a roof with the others while looking at the HQ.

"It's no good. We can't even get close to HQ. Without making sacrifices at least." Jean said

Y/N heard a voice of a scared soldier and looked to the sides. There he saw a soldier who ran out of gas.

"Die." Y/N muttered and two Titans walked towards the man.

"Stay away!" The soldier said raising his blades

"Tom, I'm coming!" A soldier appeared and went at the soldier on the ground

"Stop! It's too late!" Jean said

"Die." Y/N muttered

"Stop!" The soldier said getting ready to swing his blade.

He suddenly got grabbed by another Titan. The two Titans ate the soldiers

More screams from soldiers was heard and Y/N saw them getting eaten by Titans and he smiled.

Someone suddenly punched Y/N's stomach.

"Put that smile out of your face. It'll get suspicious." Annie whispered to Y/N

"Yeah, sorry." Y/N apologized
