My lips curled upward into a smile. My life has gotten really hard, and it brought tears to my eyes to think that someone aside from my parents care about me. I grabbed the roses and inhaled deeply, smelling the unique scent of roses. I stroked one of the soft petals, and brought my little bunch up stairs to put next to my bedside table. I was in such a good mood, so I just collapsed onto my bed, laughing, and smiling. And this time when I wiped my eyes, the wetness on my hand was happiness. This was the awakening of a better life.
