"Distance between us is not like a store, this isn't a closable gap, aye."

I held Moe's hand, staking across the floor as the song Laugh Now Cry Later played through the speakers. Looking down at him, I smiled, seeing him trying to move his feet like I taught him.

I haven't skated in years--I used to do it as a kid all the time, so as soon as I saw the ad for a new skating rink near us, I headed out. "Good job, pooh." He looked up at me, smiling then went back to his usual straight face.

Noticing a group of people striding towards us, dancing in a formation, I moved to the left a little more.

"Ahh." I heard Moe say, probably shocked at the sudden move.

We continued to skate for three more songs before I grew tired, so I made my way off the floor. "Are you thirsty?" I asked while picking him up. There were people skating around everywhere and I didn't want him to get hurt.

"Yes."

"Ok, Gatorade or Sprite?" I asked, skating over to the dining area. That's all he pretty much would drink now aside from water and apple juice. His shoulders shrugged as he laid his head on my chest.

"'Nia!" I heard someone yell, making my head turn. Once my sight landed on who was calling out to me, I saw Zymeir walking towards us with skates in his hand. I also noticed people following him, making me grow curious. When he made his way over to me, he bent down, kissing my forehead and said hey to Moe.

"Hiii, Zinnia!" A shorter woman with brown straight hair sung, waving at me.

"Why you so loud? Wassup Nia." The man beside her asked, causing her to glare at him.

"I'm excited," she responded. Taking in her appearance, I soon recognized her as Alina.

"Heyyy!" I emphasized back, smiling at them.

"Serving body as usual, mhmm," she said, making me chuckle, looking at my attire---jeans and a short sleeve from PINK. After her statement, I noticed Zymeir looking back at her.

"Thank you. You're very pretty."

She smiled, "Thank you, he think he the only one that can compliment you." We both laughed as she waved at Moe.

Moe smiled small at her before asking me about his drink. "I'll be right back," I excused myself then skated to the line. Zymeir followed, wrapping his arm around me.

"How long yall been here?"

"Umm, maybe thirty minutes," I answered while looking up in his eyes.

"My bad, I was waiting on them."

I nodded understanding, "It's ok. I was trying to teach him how to skate anyways."

"He know how to now?"

"Kinda. A little more practice and he will."

"Word? Moe you like skating?" He asked him enthusiastically. Moe nodded in response.

Looking towards the rink, I noticed Slim and Alina skating. They held hands as they navigated through the ring. "They're a cute couple."

"Yea... they getting married soon."

"Aww when?"

His face went to a thinking look. "It's not a date set yet, but they said that they wanna get married in between June of July next year. It'll be out of the country though."
