As the human made their way though Waterfall I was busy trying to calm Sans down. He was badly panicking and crying. Holding papyrus close to his chest. I had managed to get Sans to hide under the control panel to the computer.
Talking to him to get him to be quiet so the human did not find them. Sans had all reason to be scared... my back was turned when the human managed to get into the Core. Sans yelled telling me to look out.
I had turned around just in time for the human to swing a pipe down on my face. They were the one that left the scars on my face. I had blood and marrow running down my face. Shocking the human as he saw that we skeletons bleed like them.
I was so mad, angry, sad, scared, and a whole slew of emotions. Sans was yelling telling the human to go away and leave us alone. Before I knew it I felt in a sense... nothing but emptiness.
I was angry still but I could not feel anything. It felt odd but that human soon saw what the full extent of my powers were.
"I dealt with that human. Making sure they never hurt anyone else ever again. Destroying their body and accidentally shattering their soul." Gaster frowned as he placed a hand on Sans.
The memory was still fresh in his mind. His terrified son yelling for him, Papyrus crying as the loud sound upset him and woke him up from his nap. The blood running down his face.
Nightmare frowned as he thought about what happened to them. "Um... something similar sorta happened to our mom... she was protecting the tree of emotions when she was attacked. Her soul then fused with the tree..."
"Mom loved us but... she had to sadly leave us as well... she really did want to stay but couldn't." Dream thought and glanced over at his brother. He then looked up at Gaster. "Can we hear another story about Rouge?"
Gaster thought for a moment before nodding. He then glanced at Sans. "Sure. I can tell another story. Though this one happened years ago, back when Sans was born."
Hearing this Sans looked up at Gaster in surprise. "When I was born? U an Mom didn' talk 'bout dat at all."
"Well that is because the two of us wanted to wait till you were old enough and well... I have been delaying telling you this story for quite a while. So, it is time you knew the whole truth."
"So, s um... Mom not my actual mom ooor?" Sans raised a brow. Making Dream and Nightmare look at one another in confusion with some curiosity.
"No, Rouge Script is still your biological mother," Gaster softly chuckled. "There are just a few... things that happened back when you were born. Though before we can even start with that story, you all need to understand a little bit of skeleton biology."
"Why?" Dream tilted his head slightly and looked at Gaster in confusion. "To help explain a few things so no one is very confused,"
Gaster held onto Papyrus. Standing up and turning to face his bed. Setting Papyrus down and glancing at the rest of his kids. Getting the four of them settled down on the bed, before heading over to the closet. Looking at one of the other boxes that were on the high shelf out of the kids reach.
"You see skeleton pregnancy is very different compared to other monsters. Having a much shorter time needing to carry the child before they've been carried to full term, especially when comparing skeletons to mothers with flesh. Elemental monsters are the only monster race I know of with a similar pregnancy times.,"
