It's no secret that Hinata and Yachi have a close relationship, they're one and the same to many people. No doubt many have wondered what the two tiny volleyball lovers are to each other. But do they themselves know the answer?
As Daichi walked to Karasuno he heard the familiar sounds of delinquents outside their gym. He turned the corner to discover the four boys playing outside in the cold on a holiday.
"Come on" he said in his commanding tone "I don't want any of you catching a cold."
He escorted them out of the school grounds and made them leave. The four boys walked to the town nearby and walked the shops.
"Hey Hinata how come Yamaguchi didn't come here too?" Tanaka asked
"Oh he went to rescue Tsukishima-kun from his older brother who was a little tipsy. At least that's what he told me."
"Ah... I can relate. I still am proud that I was able to escape my sister."
"Saeko-ni-san is always drinking! And she still gets things done! Awesome!"
"I don't think that's a good takeaway Noya."
As they walked for a bit they noticed they were a man short. They looked back and saw Hinata pressing his face against a window of a shop. Hinata looked aggressively through the window and breathed heavily on the glass causing a a hot fog. He grumbled until his eyes found what he was looking for and he jumped back in excitement flying in the air scaring the passerby's.
"Oi Dumbass what the hell are you doing?" Kageyama called out
Hinata didn't respond as he started to jot down notes on his phone. And ran up to meet the group "Ok.... I got it." He said
"Huh? What have you got?" Tanaka asked a looking over Hinata to see his phone to see him dialing someone's number
"Shoyo who're you calling?"
As the line rung a voice picked up
"Hinata what is it? I thought I told you to go home?"
"Captain, I'm ready."
The group of boys surrounding him looked surprised and quickly smirked in pride as they heard Daichi chuckle
"Hmph alright then. You got a plan?"
Hinata smirked as he answered the question "You're damn right I do." He said with purpose
"Ok hold on." As Hinata waited he heard the phone line trill and pickup multiple times
"Ok Hinata you got the rest of the team on the line on a group call. Time to walk us through."
Hinata explained his plan and for the first time ever he didn't use any onomatopoeias in his sentences, no times where he got off topic, no nervousness in his voice. He laid out the plan down to the letter with the utmost confidence in his voice.
"...We do it before we leave." He said "What do you think?"
"Hinata... sniff... that sounds so amazing!" Sugawara said on the line with a tremble in his voice
"Sign me up Hinata!" Yamaguchi said on the line with a huge sigh of fatigue from Tsukishima sharing the call
Tanaka smirked and gripped Hinata's shoulder "we're in." He said
"And it's all thanks to Tanaka-San and his love of rom coms." Tsukishima said sarcastically causing everyone to laugh once again
"Shoyo let's kill it!" Noya said
"Nice." Kageyama said plainly with his thumbs up but his expression unreadable
"Hinata you really thought of this huh? You know what you're going to say?" Daichi said
"Definitely."
"Then we do it like you said."
Hinata sighed in relief but said one more thing before the group call would end "one thing... one person has one of the most important jobs for this to work and I don't want them to do something they don't want-" before he could finish his sentence the team member answered
"I got it. You get it ready." They said
"Alright then. We have our roles." Ennoshita said
"This isn't for me guys. This is for Yachi. So let's get this done." Hinata said
"You heard him. Let's get it done people." Daichi said like a general to his troops
Hinata hung up the phone and took a deep breath. "I'm gonna get things ready on my end, you all know what to do?"
"You can count on us." Tanaka said
"I know you don't have to even say that." He said as he turned to head home "I'll see you guys later." He said walking away
Hitoka Yachi, I'm coming. Let's hope you haven't given up on me yet
