Chapter 31: The Return

"Ya done?" I asked.

"What the hell--" he started but was silenced once I kicked him away from me.

"You can't kill me, A for effort though"

"Overhaul, he's (H/N)!" A guy wearing a white cloak said.

"Got it" I chuckled. I got out another throwing knife and threw it at the supposed, Overhaul.

"Y/N! Don't get hit by a bullet!" Nighteye yelled weakly.

"A bullet? You know I'm immortal right?" I asked while dodging a round of spikes coming at me.

"It takes quirks away!" Midoriya replied, struggling to dodge his own spikes.

A bullet that renders quirks useless? How the heck did they come up with that? And why was there a little girl here?

"Eri, you really want these heroes to die? All because of you, their blood will be on your hands" Overhaul said. I was beyond confused at this point. This is why I hate going into missions blindly.

"No please, don't do it"

I looked towards the exit and saw the little girl walking inside. She was crying but tried to stay strong.

"Good, now--" Overhaul started, about to reach for her. I threw a knife and it embedded itself in his hand. He retracted with a yell of pain and I teleported to the knife once he dropped it on the floor.

"No don't! He'll kill you!" Eri cried once I grabbed her. I pulled out a flintlock and threw it in the air. I teleported up with the girl in my arms.

"No need to worry about that. Because I'll protect you from anything, no matter what" I said. Her eyes widened before she put her face against my chest. I landed on one of the structures Overhaul had made and I waved over Midoriya.

"Sir, I'm sorry for not telling you" Midoriya said.

"Not the best time. You take the girl, and I'll distract Overhaul. She needs to be out of range, same goes for Nighteye. Just in case I have to make myself into a bomb" I explained.

"Yes sir!" Midoriya said before grabbing the girl from me. She kept clinging to me but I just pat her head.

"I'll see you soon kid" I said. She let go reluctantly and I faced Overhaul. I jumped off the structure and rushed him as he produced more spikes. I twisted past all of them and make brass knuckles with spikes on them.

Once I got in close, I punched Overhaul in the stomach. The spikes of the brass knuckles punctured his skin, making him step back on instinct.

Once he did, I crouched to the floor and swept his legs from under him causing him to fall on the floor.

I was about to make another move but I saw Overhaul's companion aim the gun at Midoriya, who wasn't paying attention.

I got up and threw a knife towards Midoriya. It was too late to stop the gunman, since he already fired. I teleported in front of Midoriya and the bullet hit my leg.

"Sir!!" Midoriya yelled out. I could feel the effects of the bullet spreading quickly. I turned and saw the girl was hiding her face in the red cape. Which made this much easier.
