Chapter 6

I haven't heard from Shawn since the dinner. It's been two days since then and I'd really like to see him again. Maybe if I ride my bike in front of his house a couple times he will notice me.

I got off my bed and looked in the mirror. "gosh if I'm going to impress a boy I'd better take a shower first."

I stripped my clothes off and got into the shower.
"Hey sweetie?" My mom asked entering the bathroom I was showering in.
"Yea?" I asked bending down to shave my legs.
"The Mendes family wanted to make plans with us again."
I dropped my razor. "what!"
"Yea. Maybe we could go to the carnival with them soon. The one near your high school or something."
"Oh my gosh mom do you know what this means?" I asked picking up my razor and peering through the curtains.
"No. What?"
"It means I'm finally going to get the chance to talk to Shawn again!"
"Oh boy here we go." my mom scoffed leaving the bathroom.

After I took a shower I made sure I looked good.
I had my hair pin straight and in a high pony tail. I had on high waisted denim shorts and a black crop top that had a white moon on it.
"Mom I'm going to go riding for a bit" I said slipping on my black vans.
"Alright but only two times around the block. I'll be watching."
"Ok mom." I giggled leaving through the front door.

I got my bike and road it down my driveway and went right to look at Shawn's house. When I looked no one was outside yet.
I went down further to the apartments then looped back around. When I reached Shawn's house again. Shawn was outside. I stopped my bike suddenly.
What am I doing?
"H-Hey Shawn." I slightly stuttered waving.
"Oh Hi!" Shawn waved back walking toward my bike. "The weather is insanely hot today" he said standing next to me.

"Yea it is. But you know there's always a pool to cool off in."

"Yea. I got a in ground pool in my back yard. You can come some time if you want."

"Oh. Um. Sure, that's sounds cool."

"So what are you doing today?"

"I'm probably just going to waste my whole day doing nothing."

"Well I'm thinking about going to see a movie later."

"Oh cool. Which movie?"

"I honestly don't know any movies that are out. And I don't even know where the movie theater is. I was hoping you could show me." he looked down.
"Or maybe that you could possibly join me." he mumbled

"What?"

"Oh nothing. Uhm do you mind coming along with me? To show me where it is and possibly stay to watch it with me. I mean if you want to. Im not going to force you to do anything."

"Yea sure of course Shawn. And I know a good movie that's out that we could go and see."

"Really? That's great!" He smiled widely. "I mean cool." He pulled down his shirt a little. "what's the movie called?"

"The theory of everything."

"That sounds promising."

"It is. You could come to my house at 6 to go and leave with me. There is a movie theater not too far from here we can walk together."
"That sounds good. Thanks so much Erica. I-"
"Shawn!"
"Oh that's my mom. I better go. I was just out here to get the mail."
"Alright bye Shawn."
He smiled at me and waved before jogging up his driveway.
I walked my bike up to my garage door and ran inside my house and stood in my living room in shock.

I have a date with Shawn Mendes.
