Chapter 6

Finn: So what brings you two here?

Marceline: Showin Y/N around and you know letting him get to know the area.

*Ring ring*

Marceline: Hang on. I gotta take this.

She pulls out her phone and leaves the room.

Y/N: So, you and Marceline must have had plenty of adventures?

Finn: Oh we've had tons...Uh Jake?

Jake walks past waring some shades.

Finn: Where you going bud?

Jake: I gotta reputation to uphold. I'll be back later.

As he leaves something slam onto the floor.

Jake: I'm okay! Still the cool guy!

Y/N: I'm starting to think telling him yes wasn't the best idea.

Finn: Probably.

Y/N: Anyway...you wanna tell me some of the adventures you've had with Marceline?

Finn: Sure! You might wanna get comfy...cuz I've got lots.

Finn proceeds to tell you story after story of their various adventures. Each one amazing Y/N more and more.

Y/N: (She's certainly been through a lot....) Hey did she ever tell you about some of the trouble we'd get into? Oh man there was the time we out ran a horde of mutants and that time-

Finn: Uh..actually I don't think she ever mentioned you to be honest.

Y/N: And and a-wait...she never mentioned me?

Finn: Not that I can remember...

Y/N: ......Huh.....that's.....a little disappointing....totally don't feel hurt by that.....I'm sure she has her reasons. Anyway you were telling me about the guy who stole stuff from you?

Finn: Right so-

Finn continued his story as Y/N partially paid attention.

Y/N: ( She's never mentioned me.....no I'm totally fine.....I'm fine....I'm fine.....I'm.....She's never mentioned me...)

Y/N snaps outta his thoughts as Marceline comes back.

Marceline: Y/N listen. I've got something I've gotta take care of. You think you can make it back to the house?

Y/N: Yep! I'm a master navigator! (......Did she even remember me?)
Heh....heh...

Marceline: Alright. I'll catch you dorks later.

She flies off through the window and into the sky. As Y/N floats slowly into the air he stops and turns back to Finn.

Y/N: You sure she didn't mention me? At least once?

Finn: Are you okay? You sound kinda-

Y/N: I'm fine....juuust fine...

He flies off into the sky.

Finn: Huh....that was weird...

A sudden knock on the door pulls Finn away. When he opens it two large men carrying Jake stand before him.

Bouncer: This yours?

Finn: Uhh yea?

The bouncer tosses Jake into the air and kicks hims inside.

Jake: Yeaaaaa! Ouch!

Jake sails through the air crashing in the wall and landing on the pile of gold.

Bouncer: Consider yourself bounced.

The Bouncers high five as they leave.

Finn: What'd you do?

Jake: I kept my legacy alive.

(Back At Marceline's House)

Y/N swung the door open and flopped onto the floor. He started to think about the various adventures Marceline had been through.

Y/N: Maybe...it didn't matter if I showed up.....she has new friends and family....cool adventures...*sigh*

Y/N pulls out his pocket watch and looks at the picture inside.

Y/N: You sure changed a lot.....my love for you hasn't though...heh...I might not be a close or cool friend of hers anymore, but I could be the first person she falls in love with!

He jumps to his feet in excitement

Y/N: Somehow I'll be the first person you fall in love with!......but first a quick shower.

He float into the upper room and opens the closet picking out something to change into.

Y/N: This and th— whoops!

He accidentally knocks over a box causing the contents of it to scatter across the floor.

Y/N: Shoot! Nothings broken! Everything fine! Everything!—

As he quickly puts things back he finds a picture of Marceline and Bubblegum. His eyes widen and hands suddenly start to shake. He places the picture back into the box. He sits in the tub and stares at the ceiling.

Y/N: *Whispering* Are you kidding me....
