It clocked twelve when the new year hit,
The old chapter fell as a fresh page rose,
I looked upon the old bit by bit,
Full as it was of highs and lows. The parties kicked off and few wishes came in,
My room grew smaller as I sat alone in it,
While I wished for someone to share it with and a little gin,
I prayed this new chapter wouldn't be a shitty skit.Listening to keyboard songs got my sleepy eyes In tears
As I said a little hi to mum and dad above,
The pain and negatives had hit me unawares
But I silently promised to keep going with love.
