The blond titan shifter simply smiled and mentioned the reason why he wanted to join the military, "Bertholdt and I are joining the military so that one day we can return to our hometown." The taller shifter simply looked happier at the mention of returning to wherever they are from.

I mean, they are from outside the walls. Since they are only here to make their motherland proud, whatever it may be called. Or at least that what my shitty friend said. Seriously spoiler alert.

All of the boys started walking again except this time going to a more clean area, where they're surprisingly was more equipment to practice ODM gear. It took you a bit to process that they were leaving you behind and you quickly jogged to catch up with them. You almost tripped but managed to catch yourself on time before looking like an absolute fool in front of everyone. Reiner and Bertholdt helped Eren get all set up on the primitive technology while you and the blond stood on the sidelines watching. It was mainly the shifters who offered Eren some helped and Armin only came to give his friend some support.

You turned to home and commented, "you wanna something that I thought about ever since you mentioned the ocean the first time. Like you know, when we first met two years ago."Armin tilted his head and his face showed curiosity. "Are we seriously what's left of humanity?"

"I dunno, that's what all of the books say and what we are taught. Everyone was taught that humanity was forced to hide behind the walls and that those who didn't make it died" He explained while making hand motions as if it made his point come across better, "and since it was something that happened all of a sudden lots of our history and culture has been lost."

"It kind of sounds stupid to me if I am honest. Like the ocean is never ending right? There has to be more land on the other side of it, meaning that there is a possibility of people living in it," you pointed out to the intellectual.

"Even if there were titans still exist outside the walls-"

You then interrupted the boy, "what if the old kind made a mistake?" you bent down and grabbed a short stick. You drew the three walls inside an island.

"Let's say this is where we reside, our little hell of a paradise if I say so myself. We are in this small piece of land and surrounding it is the ocean. This is what's left of humanity, from what the government has taught us, no one can survive outside the walls because of the titans." You then started to draw a random figure to the bottom of the island left, "what if there is some other sort of civilization living on this distant land. I personally believe that the king messed up, the fool probably decided to build the walls in the area where these humanoid creatures live while others crossed the ocean in hopes of another land away from the titans," you commented while making motions on your made-up map of the 'world', "I doubt that titans would cross the ocean to follow people that are much further away and decided to stick around here instead."
