Footsteps of the crowd running. The slight clicking that echoing throughout the place. And the harsh blew of the wind from the opened glass door beside us. As well as Zeon's harsh rapid breathing in front of me.

“There's no time to wait for it. Come on, Harper!” Dreyard shouted to me as he carries Zeon in his back. I noticed how he looks in pain and in heavy but it looks as if he wouldn't mind at all. I haven't even get over when Dreyard quickly ran down.

I have no choice but to follow them.

However, when we were running down the stair, there are running zombies that caught our attention— the reason why they changed course and go in our place.

I noticed how the door is now opened and the horde of zombies is already inside this house, but it seemed as if Dreyard doesn't mind at all.

We took an opposite way towards where our companions headed since I know that we'll just circle this place.

Unless there's a hidden door in the middle of it.

“What happened?!” One of our companions voiced out as soon as they saw Zeon on Dreyard's back.

I couldn't answer since I was busy shooting the zombies along the way. I noticed why they haven't reached the basement for now, but then I noticed how Meredith is getting agitated while opening the lock on the door behind this large stair that we were earlier.

“Please. . . Please, open up!” I heard her said as beside her is crying Myra who's holding her T-shirt. I averted my gaze and looked in front again.

I saw something— a slightly thick metal stick at the side where I quickly shoot its handle, making it fall and block the way towards those few zombies that are coming in our way.

I noticed some zombies looked at their back before they headed towards that place.

Muli akong sumilip sa kabila at nakita kong papunta sila Faye rito! I shoot the remaining zombies that are stuck at the metal stick to support them.

I supported them until they reached our place.

“We heard his cries earlier,” Faye said that I didn't answer, but I heard her. “But we can't go to your place. I'm sorry,” she whispered. I nodded my head at her and smile a little— because I couldn't say that it's okay.

Nothing is okay.

Nor ever be.

“Shit!” I overheard one of my companions said— it's David.
