His eyes are light and green
harsh and sharp
they stay strong over the land they behold
and past that they rage
lighting pales in comparison to those eyes
his green eyes
His eyes are dark and romantic
deep and warm
haunting images swim in those pools of soil
deep forgotten past deep forgotten in those eyes
covered in warm sugar and cocoa inside those eyes
his dark eyes
Her eyes are grey and soft
welcoming and serene
sweet intelligence nestled atop her beautiful eyes
anger boils deep beneath
mistreatment growls under smiles in those eyes
her grey eyes
His blue eyes shrouded in pink
Dark ocean blue
They've seen everything
nothing worth remembering
they hope and they pray
they strike those they see
his blue eyes
Now his eyes are an electric blue
cold and bright
lightning strikes everywhere he looks
chaos goes by in his wake
but still there is kindness
and youthful pride
inside his blue eyes
His eyes are deep and cool
they are the healthy sky on a winters day
under which he chose to build his nation
Youthful pride he spreads along
the country he has built
yet he fears for his place
and he fears for his life
memories of their past haunt him
behind those deep eyes
