Real Life

Yesterday felt like a dream. Last night was very chaotic, to say the least. Even after opening those initial notifications, hundreds more came rolling in only seconds later. This all just felt extremely surreal but I knew I'd need to keep working so I don't bore those new to my audience. 

Before I put my phone away last night, I tweeted out for people to ask me questions for my Youtube channel. I know a lot of my fans can't always catch my streams so I make sure I put content on Youtube that they'd enjoy as well. 

Now I sat in my filming room slouched up against the wall, trying to screenshots some good questions. My camera is a couple of feet in front of me and recording. I always try to get before and after shoot video just to make the video funnier with edits and things. 

After about 20 minutes,  looked at the camera, seeing myself on the monitor, and I couldn't help but laugh. I am a naturally awkward person but once I get warmed up to you I like to have fun.

"Hello you guys," I say as a way to start my intro, "it's your favorite wife here. We all love an awkward introduction. TODAY! We will...well okay, I WILL be answering questions." I stop for a second and smack myself in the forehead. 

"Okay, you obviously already know that from the title. Just roll the video." I make a mental note to myself to add in a camera rolling effect to make it less awkward. After leaving myself a couple of seconds to add the edit, I look at the camera again. 

"Question time! I screenshotted like 30 of them so let's get going!" 

I looked down at the first screenshot, reading it to myself than out to the camera. 

Question 1 : How old are you? 

"I am 21 years old, my birthday is October so I will be turning 22 in a month or so. My sign is Libra."

Question 2 : How was it playing with Pewdiepie and playing among us for the first time? Also ilysm!

"I love you too! Thank you for the support and question. Playing with Pewdiepie was awesome and so awesome. I woke up and was thinking maybe my subway sandwich was drugged by the delivery man. I'm JOKING PLEASE! But uh... Among Us is a fun game. I play it secretly on my phone a lot and I like being a detective. I really want another chance at being an imposter cause I feel like I'd be better now that I know the vents well. But yes Pewdiepie is awesome and has been one of my idols since the dawn of 2014."

Question 3 : Do you have a significant other?

"I included this question cause after yesterday I got a lot more supporters and I know these are the basic things people want to know. So no, I do not have a boyfriend, girlfriend, or lovefriend. I am single pringle and I've been single since High School. My reason being is that I have some health issues that not a lot of people can handle. So I basically stopped trying."

Question 4 : How long have you been into gaming? 

"I have been into gaming since I was like 7. When the PS3 came out? Wow, I was in my prime, let me tell you. Then I got the Wii and fell in love with that. Now here we are, I completely obsessed with Super Smash Ult and Animal Crossing! I didn't start streaming though until I was 17. My parents didn't really like the idea of me being on the internet so I started going by the name Ewife. This, actually, brings us to the next question."

Question 5 : Why did you choose Ewife?

"Sooooo my name is Emeline, for those that did not know. At the time I was also really emo. I also use to read like imagines of me being different game characters wife. SO take the e smash it into wife and you got Ewife. Which is me! But I think a lot of people think I took it from Egirl, which is fine too but I just wanted to explain the true origins. 

After answering about 15 more questions, I waved the camera goodbye and started the process of taking the video from my camera and transferring it to my laptop. That process usually takes a while so I decided to go stream for a little bit.

While waiting for people to join I checked my phone notification. One was from Pewdiepie! He was asking me if I wanted to join another Among Us game. The only problem is that he sent me the code half an hour ago. I texted him a quick apology and went bad to paying attention to my stream. 

People were already commenting, asking questions, and donating. I said thank you to everyone who had donated thus far as I started to open up the Among Us app. My phone went off just as excited comments came rolling in. 

"Pewdiepie has invited us to a game you guys!" I smile a wide genuine smile as I enter the code of the new room. Everyone was already there and Pewdiepie was quick to introduce me. 

"Hey everyone shut the fuck up! This is my new friend Emeline! SAY HELLO!" I couldn't help but laugh at his introduction. Everyone said their hellos but there was one that made me jump. I honestly just assumed that they used a voice modifier as a gimmick. I looked at the Discord bubble and realize it came from someone named Corpse. 

"Hello to everyone nice to meet you! Please don't kill me first..." There were a couple of laughs then Pewds started the game. After a couple of rounds and lots of laughs, I was finally imposter with Pewdiepie. 

At the start of the game, we both split directions. He to the left and me down toward storage. I went into Electric and faked my first task. I realized nobody would be coming in any time soon so I cut off the lights and hopped in the vent. People came running in and two people even ran toward the back to do their task. Lizze and Corpse. 

"Oh god Corpse I'm sorry. You've been dying first this whole time but you were closer. I'm sorryyy." My mic is muted from the game but I still felt bad super bad for him. I quickly jumped out the vent killed Corpse right next to Lizze then jumped back in the vent. I quickly vented to the medbay area in an attempt to be clear of the body. A couple of seconds after this, Lizze reported his body. 

"I don't know what happened or how that happened but he's dead now," Lizze tried to explain more on what she meant but everyone was already suspicious of her. Dave was the first to speak up and say "So everyone was fixing the lights but you and you just so happen to stumble onto a body in the dark? Very weird.." Everyone immediately agreed with Dave including me.

Even after trying to explain herself, they ended up voting out Lizze. Leaving just five of us left, including me and Pewds. As soon as the ejection screen was over, Pewds went for the closest person to him and killed them. I jumped in my chair, out of pure surprise then killed the person next to me. 

I smiled as Pewd's screamed victory in his mic. "That was such a good kill E!" Dylan screamed over Pewds! I shyly thanked him as everyone started discussing the game. 

"Well, you guys I kind of have to go now. I was supposed to edit a video like two hours ago..." Everyone groans in sadness but they soon let me go. 

I turn back to my stream and smile sadly at them. "Hey, that means you guys too. Sorry, I wasn't doing much interacting, I was just so invested in the game! Thank you guys so much for watching and donating! Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll have a new video on Youtube. Goodbye to everyone and make sure you're staying hydrated.." I wave toward my camera and smile wide before turning off the stream. 

I look at the time and realize it's really late. Taking only a few short steps, I walk from my chair to my bed and plop down. Today was definitely something. 

A/N : Literally 1420 words. Even if I don't get a lot of readers, I'm still going to write. It's so fun and I love seeing the story slowly come to life. Also, I wanted to say there are going to be times where I don't go off a certain video. It just seems like that'll be harder and more constricting to write. Does that make sense? No.. Okay lol.
