Nick's POV

"One last step"

"Why can't you carry me?"

"Because baby, I'm not stronger enough, I'm too weak"

"Hit the gym weak one"

I rather tell her I'm too weak to carry rather than say she got heavy due to the baby instead. I don't want her to think she is fat.

After successfully getting her down the steps, I walk us to the kitchen. "The usual?"

"Yes please"

Helping her sit down, I walk over to the fridge and grab the jar of grape jelly. Putting that down,I head to the pantry and open it. Oh no. We have no more oreos."Um baby, we don't have any oreos"

"What? But baby's hungry and that's the only thing they eat in the morning"

"I know baby. Look I can go to the store and buy some okay? I won't be long I promise"

I refuse to leave her side. What was suppose to be her due date was almost a week ago. Our little sucker could come out at any time now. I have to be there for her when they do.

I kiss her forehead. When I pulled away I heard the front door open. Erik and Chez walk in. They had bags in their hands"Where did you guys go?"

"The store. We notice our favorite mommy ran out of her morning snack" They pulled out pulled out three packets of Oreos

I let out a breath"Thank you so much" Mags grabs the jelly and her Oreos before starting to eat.

"I wonder if you're still going to eat that even after their born?"

"I don't know, I've gotten use to the taste. Maybe"

Suddenly we heard loud footsteps coming from upstairs. Looking into the doorway we see Diem and Dalen looking frantic."What's wrong?"

"One of our regions is being threaten we have to go take care of it now" Erik and Chez drop what they're doing and head to their room"Nick, all of us"

"What,no you know I can't go"

"Nick" Dalen grabbed me"We need all the men we can get. We are going to need your smarts there with us"

"But I have to be here with Mags. She's due any day-"

"Nick"Looking down at my wife"I'll be fine. Me and baby will be right here when you get back. Go they need you"

I grab her hand and squeeze it. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, now you have to get going"

Leaning down I kiss her forehead before storming up to our room.  I get dress in some gear before stuffing a bag full of weapons and things we need.

I haven't gone a mission in a long time. The all promised me that they wouldn't ask me to go until the baby was born. But I guess this time is different.

Heading back down stairs I see everyone ready to go. Before I head out with them I walk back over to Mags"I'll be back"

"Please be safe"

"Always, I love you"

"I love you too" Giving her a loving kiss, I head out of the house with the others

We all get into the car and drive off"So how much of the region?"

"Oh just about all of it"

"Oh, that's just great" I started to bounce my leg. We never had a threat this large against us
