You see Michael now knew that Julian "thinks" he likes her, so she took advantage of the situation by crying and begging him not to call her parents when he threatens to tell on her.
But that's not all Michael noticed, he also noticed that for the past few weeks Julian has calm down from all the ill mannered things she had been doing while her parents were away.

Julian awoke from her deep slumber with aching fingers and feet... Deep down Julian knew it was the bunch of year seven papers professor Michael asked her to grade and organize in alphabetical order.
Getting up doing her duties before getting ready for school she made her way to the bathroom taking a quick shower.
