Me: Yeah, so you just wanted to tell me that?

Harry: No, it's just that... I just came out to my mom

Me: Woah, how did it go?

Harry: She was fine with it

Me: Great, but...

Harry: How did you know there was a 'but...'

Harry: Hahahahah, well... I just expected a bigger reaction you know?

Harry: Like, this is such a big thing for me and I've been struggling to tell her since I was 12 years old, and she accepted it right away, like it was no big deal, you know?

Harry: I mean, I'm really grateful because she's being supportive but, I don't know, I feel dumb for wanting more. I should be happy as hell, what's wrong with me?

Me: Haz, it's okay to feel that way, really

Me: It is a big deal, I know it, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a better or bigger reaction.

Me: I felt the same way when I came out to my sister. She just acted cool and then everything was just normal, like nothing big had happened and I was freaking out.

Me: So I totally get it
