Her Highness (Undergoing Heavy Editing)

Uh Oh...

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I had my head in my hands in disbelief. These people were playing a double game! Once we would have located the tesseract and handed it over to S.H.I.E.L.D., they would've started making weapons out of it. Weapons which could wipe out the whole planet at will.

Question is, why didn't they tell us?

I put the papers in my cabinet and locked it.

I need to show this to Steve... I thought before I left my room to search for him. It wasn't really a hard task as he was the first person I bumped into (what's with me and bumping into people today?) when I came out of the living quarters. He looked a bit agitated.

"Sorry." Then he looked up to see me. "(Y/n). I was coming to find you.", He stated.

"Good thing I found you then, huh?", I asked. He didn't answer and nodded his head.

"I need you to come with me.", I said grabbing his hand and practically dragging him to the living quarters. Once I was I side my room, I let Steve sit on the chair while I unlocked my cabinet.

"Why exactly am I here?", He asked.

"You'll see." I put my hand in and grabbed the bunch of papers and handed them to him.

"What's this?"

"Read. You'll find out.", I instructed sitting on my bed.

With each page the scowl on the blonde boy's face grew bigger and deeper, while I sat observing and bobbing my leg with my hand holding my chin.

Once he was done reading, he put down the papers and sighed.

"This is what Stark was talking about...", He muttered. My curiosity spiked up.

"What was Stark talking about?", I asked lifting an eyebrow. Steve turned in the chair to face me.

"Stark said that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been hiding secrets from us. I denied it at first, thinking it was a whim of a spoilt child but now I have been the child all this while..." There was a moment of silence amidst us before I broke it.

"The only way to know what do they mean by this or why is this necessary we need to face this head on, Rogers.", I said putting a hand on one of broad shoulders. He nodded.

"I need to gather more evidence.", He declared standing up. "You coming ma'am?" He held out a gloved hand to me which I accepted.

"Of course soldier. Can't let you do anything idiotic, now can I?", I replied. Steve scowled at me playfully. I laughed it off and came outside grabbing the papers.

*Time Skip*

Steve and I were on our way to the science lab where apparently the argument had begun already.

"Seems like we are fashionably late, your highness.", Steve pointed out.

"Well at least we've done it fashionably.", I pointed out.

"You have an answer for everything, don't you?"

"Hey it's you who's saying not me.", I answered before going inside the lab.

Apparently, my timing was correct as Tony has just asked 'what is phase 2'.

"This is phase 2, Stark.", I said placing the papers on the table.

A loud thud was heard from the same table where I had placed the papers.

"Phase 2 is S.H.I.E.L.D. uses the cube to make weapons.", Steve informed. "Sorry, the computer was running too slow for me."
