They didn't show any emotions for a while once I'd told them. I didn't think it was a good sign.
I looked at Lucas with a confused look. He just winked at me.
It took a while for my mum to react but she seemed pretty happy. She hard a massive grin on her face and looked as if her eyes were filling with tears.
"Yes. Yes. Yes! That's a great idea!"
I found it nice how my mum approved.
My dad still didn't show any emotion. He just froze. Froze on the spot. Was this a bad sign?
"Dad?" I muttered
He didn't move or talk still.
"Dad?" I wanted to know what he was thinking.
He began to speak. Then stopped again. My mum looked at him and placed her hand on his knee. He looked at Topenga, then looked at Lucas, then at me. He stood up and rushed out of the room.
My mouth dropped.
"Riley!" My mum said while standing. She ran her fingers through my hair. "He's just a little flustered that's all." Then she followed after my farther.
