Chapter 27

Pinababa ang dalawa at nagkaroon naman ng last dance number. Kinabog naman ako ng kaba. Papalapit sa'kin si Mr. Vice at nakangiti ito. Ngumiti ako kahit kinakabahan na rin ako.

Sa galing nila mukhang wala akong maibubuga. Paano pa kaya kapag si Ms. Secretary na?

"Hey. How are you?" wika ni Mr. Vice at umupo sa tabi ko. Huminga naman ako ng malalim. Sa totoo lang parang gusto ko na lang magparaya at hayaan na lang manalo si Vanessa.

"Thank you again for your wonderful dance. Now we'll proceed to another debate for Princess!" wika ng emcee at lalo akong nanlamig.

"Good luck, Aria. Just relax," wika ni Mr. Vice na nakangisi.

Tumayo na ako at pumunta sa stage. Pinarampa muna kami ng isang beses bago pinapunta sa magkabilang dulo. Sinabi din na katulad kanina ay ganun din ang amin.

"For princess' our topic debate is about beauty. Others says everyone has their own beauty. Beauty with make ups or natural beauty?"

Binigyan kami ng papel at nang binuksan  ko iyon ay nakalagay ang beauty with make ups. Nang tanungin kung sino ang nakakuha ng beauty with make ups ay tinaas ko ang kamay ko. May sinabi pa ang emcee bago kami magsimula. Si Ms. Secretary muna ang nagsalita.

"Natural beauty is always the best. It's not just what you look but it's also what you are. Being just yourself and make yourself shine in natural way can make a wonderful difference with others. You should treasure what's given on you. Make ups are for those are not contented. Make ups are what you put on your face like blush on, lipsticks or eyeshadows which has chemicals. In other side, make ups can ruin your make own beauty," wika niya at pumalakpak ang audience.

"Pardon? Make ups can make someone's confidence boost. It's made to make one's beauty be more attractive. Yes there's chemicals that can harm but we're not dumb not to understand the instructions on how we use it. It's right that natural way is the best but not in forever you will stay on what you are. People changes. This is our generation now, persons with make ups are those who always on top. Yes, be yourself but it's better to be the best version of yourself. That's how make ups do," tugon ko at naghiyawan ang mga manonood. Ngumisi si Mr. Vice.

"You can be the best version of yourself in your natural beauty. Natural way. Like what you said, this is our generation. Old things like natural beauty fades slowly and it's better if we, the new generation will rise again what the true beauty is. Bring out the true beauty, that's what be the best version of yourself means," wika niya at nag 'Oh' naman ang iba.

"Everyone has their own beauty and ways. We have different ways on how we bring out the best version. Including make ups, we can rise up the beauty by make ups. Likes for example, a morena beauty. You can say that she's beautiful despite of her dry skin. It can be more beautiful if you do the treatment or some make ups to enhance its appearance. Make ups do changing and changes is for the better. I'm not encouraging others to put make ups while it's not suitable but my point in this is make ups are not bad for us if we are disciplined before we use it. Treasure your beauty not just by conserving it, treasure it by changing it for a better one," marahan kong sagot kahit muntik na akong mabulol. Nagsipalakpakan naman. Nabuhayan ako nang makita ko si Mr. Ssg na ngumiti.

"Changing beauty for better, you're right but rising beauty while remaining the natural one is way more better and priceless," aniya at pumalakpak ulit ang lahat.

"Times up!"

Nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag. Napatingin ako sa mga kaibigan ko na todo sigaw ang pangalan ko.

Pinagbihis kami para sa last ramp kasama ng partner namin. Nagulat ako dahil pagkatapos ko magbihis ay nakita ko si Mr. Ssg. Mukhang may inaantay siya dito. Si Ms. Secretary.

Bumuntong hininga pa ako bago naglakad. Dadaan lang sana ako pero pinigilan niya ako. Natikom naman ang bibig ko.

"Aria.." nag angat ako ng tingin.

"B-bakit?"

"Congrats."

"Ah-eh thank you," marahan kong sabi.

"We'll see each other after," wika niya. Nakita ko naman ang pag alon ng kaniyang Adams apple.

"H-huh?" Napamaang ako.

"Date- este... Can I take you out after? I mean parang date nga," Napakagat ako ng labi dahil sa itsura niya. Nagsalubong ang kilay niya at nag iwas ng tingin.

"Ah s-sige.." kahit ako ay hindi ko alam kung bakit pumayad ako.

Hala ka aria ite- take out ka!

Charring! OA! Hahahaha.

"Sige. Congrats ulit," aniya at tumango ako.

"May we call the two partners for the last ramp. Please proceed." Narinig kong sabi ng emcee. Nagkasalubong pa kami ni Ms. Secretary.

"Congrats and good luck," nakangiti niyang sabi. Wala naman akong mmakitang kaplastikan don.

"Sa'yo din," sabi ko sabay ngumiti. Lumabas naman kami mula sa back stage.

Rumampa kami para sa huli at pumwesto na. Madaming nag chi-cgeer sa bawat isa sa'min at nakakatuwa naman.

"So here's the result. Are you ready to know who won the crown?" ani ng emcee at nagsigawan ang lahat.

"The winners will be the Princess and Prince of our school and will be the role model of every students here. Are you ready?" wika ulit ng emcee at itinapat ang mic sa mga manonood.

"In the topic of love, we've heard the two side of ways for love. Mr. Guerrejo and Mr. Montesor defended their side really well. We can say also that Ms. Consepsion and Ms. Moleinarez defended their sides too. Who will gonna be your Prince and Princess?" wika ng emcee at nagsigawan naman sila ng mga pangalan.

"SeanNessa!"

"VickAria!"

"SeanNessa!"

"VickAria!"

"Please all have silence. Now... Losing a battle doesn't make you a loser, it makes you as a fighter rather. At least you gave your best and you tried. It's a lesson for you and for the better another chance. Winning the crown means you gave your best for it and you deserve it. They both gave their best. Let us give around of applause to our winners!"

Nagulat ako dahil sa sigawan ng mga manonood at dahil din sa sinabi ng emcee.

"We have now our Princes and Princesses. They both won! Congratulations!"

Napatingin ako kay Mr. Vice na ngiting-ngiti. Nagulat ako nang yakapin niya ako. Sa likod niya na si Mr. Ssg na nakangiti nung una pero nawala din. Nag iwas siya ng tingin.

"Congrats satin!" wika ko. Napatawa ako nang guluhin niya ang buhok ko.

"Tapos naman na eh," aniya at pinisil pa ang pisngi ko.

Nanalo ako tapos magkikita din kami ni Mr. Ssg mamaya! Ang saya ko!
