Colby and Rebecca stood outside Bexley's door, he held a gift bag while Rebecca held a chocolate muffin with a candle.

It was Bexley's 7th birthday, 7 years she'd been on this earth. Sure it hadn't always been easy and there were rough patches but Rebecca wouldn't change a thing for the world.

"Happy birthday to you..." they sung quietly as they walked in "happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Bexley, happy birthday to you"

"Happy birthday baby" Rebecca smiled as she sat next to her on the bed "I can't believe your 7 already..."

January 2014

"My baby's already one" Rebecca pouted as she sat with Bexley on her lap "seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home"

"Time flies like that" Ashley said "I just can't wait until I have one"

"It's the best thing that could ever happen to you... trust me" Rebecca smiled

"When are you gonna have another one?" Ashley asked an Rebecca laughed

"Never... she's enough for me" she said "unless I find that one person who changes that, which I doubt that will happen"

"Mama" Bexley squealed and started patting Rebecca's leg

"You want down?" She questioned and sat Bexley down and she began to slowly move her legs towards Ashley

"Oh my god!" Rebecca exclaimed "she just walked!"

"Yay Bexley!" Ashley said clapping her hands and the infant began to clap her hands as well

"First she's one, now she's walking" Rebecca said "Can time just please slow down"

Colby handed the small gift bag to Bexley and she slowly began to open it. There was a small black box with a charm bracelet inside.

"You can add all your charms to it" Colby explained "I thought since you had so many, you need a bracelet to put them on"

"Thank you Daddy" Bexley said and wrapped her arms around his neck

"Come on, you gotta get ready, I have a surprise for you" Rebecca rubbed her back

Bexley got ready, then they headed to this 'surprise' Rebecca was talking about. They ended up at IKEA, Bexley was confused but went inside.

"Why are we here?" She asked and Rebecca pointed to the crips and other baby related items in the far corner

"You said we needed to get stuff for teeny, you can pick out whatever you want for her" Rebecca said

"Anything?" Bexley questioned

"Anything" Rebecca nodded and the little girl ran off

"Have you ever heard of a 7 year old excited about getting stuff for her baby sister on her birthday?" Colby asked

"She's never been one to want things for herself, she always wants to give more than she gets" Rebecca explained "one year for Christmas all she asked for was my new action figure, then she wanted to buy toys for kids who didn't get any mil

"She's a special one" Colby smiled and grabbed Rebecca's hand

They were in the store for all of an hour and Bexley had gotten more things than what they needed. She'd picked out the necessities that Rebecca said she needed to pick out, then they let her get whatever else she wanted.

"We need letters to put her name on the wall" she said grabbing wooden letters "how do you spell teeny?"

"Baby her name isn't going to be teeny" Rebecca laughed "we still have to pick out a name"

"Hmm" Bexley thought for a moment "what about Quin?"

"Quin?" Rebecca questioned "like my last name?"

"Yeah! And then she'll have daddy's last name and then when you and daddy get married you get his last name and then I can" she explained

"Seems like you've thought this all out kiddo" Colby said "but I love the name Quin if mommy does too" he said and looked to Rebecca

"Baby Quin, it's perfect" she smiled
