Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton...
"I.. Uh.." Deceit was slightly taken aback by Patton's questions. He hadn't even asked about his burn.
Deceit smiled uncertainly and sat down. "Nice to meet you Patton. My name's Deceit. I'm okay. How are you?"
Remus beamed, proud that Deceit hadn't even stuttered as he spoke to Patton.
Patton made Deceit feel safe. He didn't know why, but he seemed to give off a kind, fatherly energy that Deceit never had in his life.
Patton smiled "I'm great! How are you Remus?" Patton asked as Remus sat down on the other side of Deceit.
He picked his ear with his pinky, grinning he answered "Never been better."
Patton wasn't disturbed and Deceit wasn't used to him after not being around him for a while so he was slightly disturbed.
Deceit took out a notebook and decided to draw "Oooo.. You draw?! That's so cool!" Deceit looked at Patton.
"Y-yeah, I'm not that good though.."
"That's not true! You are really good kiddo!" Patton smiled as he complimented Deceit.
Deceit wasn't used to being told he was good at something and his face flushed from embarrassment. "O-oh.. Thanks.."
Patton nodded "You're welcome!"
Deceit was wondering as to why he was always smiling, how could someone see so much good to be able to always be smiling?
The bell rang to start class and the teacher called Deceit to stand since he was a new student to their class. "Deceit here has moved classes, since this is a different class, moving at a different pace, I would like you all to help him if he needs it."
"But why did snake face have to switch?!" A kid yelled.
Deceit flinched and hung his head, sitting back down. Patton looked at him with worry.
Remus growled and stood, hitting his fist on the desk "Say that again punk?!" He wasn't going to stand for people calling his friends names in front of him.
"I-I uh, well.." the kid stuttered.
"Please sit down Remus!" the teacher shouted.
Remus growled, sitting back down.
