Chapter 29

I went up and my prep team quickly hands me a pile of clothes to wear and when I say a pile of clothes I literally mean a mountain. I guess my prep team went a little too excited to see Capitol clothes again.

“I can’t wear all of these.” I tell them

“She’s right. Wear these honey it will bright out your eyes.” Venia gives me bright pink dress, blue jacket and a pair of sandals

“No honey, wear these! These will look P-E-R-F-E-C-T PERFECT on you!” Flavius says as he hands me a purple dress and purple coat, everything purple.

“Both of you stop. Let her decide; leave those clothes in the bathroom and leave. Katniss, you choose whatever you want but make sure you wear your Mockingjay suit underneath.” Octavia tells me, thank God they finally stop

“I will. Thank you. I’ll be out in a minute.” I tell Octavia and went in the bathroom “Oh wait Katniss, Peeta’s in there too.”

“That’s good. No problem with me.”

I forgot, I already have my Mockingjay suit so I won’t need much the vest that Paylor gave me. I’ll give it to Peeta instead

“Hey!” I hug Peeta from his behind

“Oh hi! Where have you been?” he ask and turns around to hug me

“Commander Paylor talked to me, she told me to be extra careful since the Capitol is targeting me and gave me this vest. I told you she’s nice.”

“What’s that for?”

“For protection. But I already have my Mockingjay suit so I want you to wear it.”

“But it’s yours. You’ll need extra protection more than I do so wear it.”

“Peeta, I have my Mockingjay suit, it’s bullet and shock wave proof. It can protect me by itself. I want you to wear this.” He doesn’t reply but I know he’ll object “Please?” I look at him with my puppy eyes

“Katniss that won’t work on me.” He says

“Peeta…” I try to call him with my most seductive voice

“Katniss no!”

“Peeta, wear this or no more kiss or whatsoever!”

“Oh you’re really evil. Okay fine, I’ll wear it.”

“Thank you. Here, I’ll help you strap it.” After strapping it to him, making it sure that it will perfectly protect Peeta turns around and grabs me by my waist

“Now how about that kiss you owe me?” he tells me with his seductive voice and I give him a peck on the lips

“That will do for now, I still have to get ready. Will you help me with my suit?”

“Okay.” He helps me wear my Mockingjay suit and pick a Capitol clothes to wear. We both pick a long blue coat that hides my suit from top to bottom, and it has a hood that I can use to hide my face. No fancy hat, wig, or hairpiece I need to wear. Peeta picked black pants, a pair of boots and a plain gray shirt. I gave him a shiny silver coat just in case, he still need that Capitol touch. We were inside for 20 minutes just trying to figure out what to wear and help each other on wearing it.

“Finally done! Who would know that picking for a Capitol wear would be so hard! How can girls do this every day?” Peeta jokes

“We do it for you guys. We always have to look nice for you.”

“You always look beautiful for me Katniss, even if you wear a baggy shirt or Capitol clothes”

I gave him a kiss, a long passionate kiss that he deserves earlier. He pushes me gently against the wall and just kisses me more and moves to my neck just underneath my ear. He knows that’s my weakness, he knows that I’ll give in when he does that. I was about to remove his clothes when we hear a knock on the door

“Hey sweetheart! We still have to put make-up on you. You said you’ll just be in there for a minute!” Octavia shouts

“Okay. We’ll be there. I’m sorry!” I shout back “Peeta we need to go.”

“Just a minute. It will only take a minute Katniss.” Peeta tells me still kissing my neck, I push him away

“Peeta no. we need to stop. We need to go now. You can have more of me after our mission okay?”

“Okay. Let’s finish this mission as soon as possible.”

“Okay. Let’s go.” We leave the bathroom and my prep team looks at me with their hands crossed

“What?” I ask them

“You said you’ll only be there in a minute!” Octavia says to me angry

“You didn’t even wore my pink dress!” Venia says

“Or my purple coat!” Flavius adds

“I’m sorry, I don’t need that much, I have my suit and this coat perfectly covers all of it. I’m sorry.” I tell them

“Okay. You are here now, let’s just put some finishing touches on you and we can all go. Katniss, I’ll work on you, Cressida and Jackson. You two!” she points Venia and Flavius “You work on the boys, make them look pretty. Got that?” they both nod and we get started, they are all great, I can’t believe they got us all finished in 20 minutes including themselves. Now, we look like Capitol citizens and we can finally go out.
