(Slytherin Common Room, September 13th, 1991)
"Black." Grace greeted taking a seat next to Corvus, who currently was reading a book in the empty common room
"Ms Weitts. Why are you up so early?" Corvus inquired rhetorically "Do you, perchance, have your answer yet?" Corvus added
"I'll join your inner circle," Grace spoke "On one condition." she added resolutely
"Your condition?" Corvus asked closing his book and turning his full attention towards her
"That you consider two of my friends for a place within the circle." Grace answered
"Consider," Corvus began "you are not going to ask me to let them join straight away, without assessing their abilities and capabilities?"
"I'm not so foolish to believe you would let them in the circle before knowing their names, or seeing if they could be useful." Grace replied, "I understand that a King's court is made up of the Kings most trusted and most useful subjects."
"If you do not believe they should be part of your inner circle, then they can be my confidants." Grace continued
"Very well, I will consider them." Corvus replied, "I don't suppose you will tell me their names?"
Grace looked for any form of deception in his lone eye before she spoke "Ophelia Flint and Violet Macnair."
"Violet Macnair?" Corvus hummed "Is she not part of the current inner circle?" Grace nodded
"A spy then." Corvus spoke with certainty
"Yes," Grace answered "She is excellent at seeing through deceptions and lies, her skill in spying is top tier as well."
"It would be best if she were to remain a secret member of the circle, at least until our dominance had been established for a while, that way she is not exposed as a spy." Corvus summarised with Grace nodding her head in agreement
"And Ophelia Flint, what is her speciality?" Corvus asked in thought
"She is the top of my year in all subjects, she even outranks a majority of the 6th and 7th years in her knowledge alone." Grace explained
'They do sound like they would make excellent allies.' Corvus mused 'Though I will have to meet them in person before coming to a final decision.'
"What do you plan next?" Grace question breaking him out of his thoughts "Now that my brother has proved himself incompetent and unfit for the position of King of Slytherin."
"Tell me," Corvus began "Is there a member of the current circle that is on the Quidditch team?"
Grace looked a Corvus with a questioning glance "Terence Higgs, he is the only member of the Kings court who plays for our team." Grace answered, "He plays as our Seeker." She added
