"ugh" Godric grunted as he staved off a yawn and stretched his limbs

Slowly he opened his eyes and frowned as he found himself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling, suddenly he jolted upright and quickly looked around the room. Despite his blurry vision he quickly deduced that he was in the hospital wing lying in one of the beds.

'But why am I here?' Godric frowned "Wait-" His eyes widened suddenly as he quickly pulled the blanket off of himself and snatched his glasses off of the bedside table

"Finally awake Godric." Dumbledore's voice stopped him in his tracks "I was quite worried about you my boy." Dumbledore frowned

Godric looked at Dumbledore as he was now standing at the end of his bed 'When did he get here?' Godric wondered before shaking his head 'That doesn't matter right now.' he thought

"Headmaster, the philosopher stone." Godric rattled off but Dumbledore held up his hand stopping him

"You needn't worry about the stone anymore my boy." Dumbledore said

"Then-" Godric began once again but Dumbledore shook his head in a grave manner

"I'm afraid the stone has been stolen despite your excellent efforts." Dumbledore sighed "However, I doubt that the perpetrator will be able to gain access to it himself." He added

"Himself..." Godric muttered "But headmaster, it was Prince that was after it wasn't it?"

"Professor Prince?" Dumbledore chuckled as he stroked his beard

Had Godric been a more observant person he would have noticed that Dumbledore's eyes lacked his usual twinkle and seemed rather disappointed.

"I'm afraid you have the wrong person," Dumbledore said "Professor Prince was one of the people protecting the stone, in fact, she was the one who found you unconscious."

Godric's eyes widened suddenly "What about the others, Ron, Neville, Hermione!?" He asked quickly

"They are fine my boy," Dumbledore chuckled "See for yourself." He gestured to the other hospital beds behind him where his friends still lay asleep

"I see," Godric let out a sigh of relief "That's good." he added quietly causing Dumbledore to smile

"You all gave me quite the worry," Dumbledore said suddenly "I was unable to wake any of you up despite my best methods, magic or otherwise." Dumbledore sighed "It appears you were all hit with a sleeping curse the likes of which I haven't seen before."
