(Hogwarts Express)

The rest of the train ride to Hogwarts was peaceful, other than talking to the girls Corvus emerged himself in a book on Parsel-magic written by Salazar Slytherin himself. The book contained the start of Salazar's own research into Parsel-magic, of course, he wasn't the first to research Parsel-magic and neither was he the first in his family. However, his own research outshined the rest of his family by far.

When nearing Hogwarts Corvus left the compartment allowing the girls room to get dressed. Upon arrival at Hogsmeade station, he and the girls were amongst the first to step off the train all dressed in their high-quality silk robes.

"Firs' years! Firs' years over 'ere!" A large man yelled, he appeared to be a half-giant

"Half-breed." Lucretia muttered causing Pansy to laugh

"Magical blood is magical blood, Lucretia. You'll find just because someone has the blood of more than one race in them they will be better at certain things." Corvus explained in a flat tone "In this case, a Half-giant, they can use magic like us and they are naturally stronger than humans."

"Righ' you lot, we'll be takin' the boats o'er to the castle, so follow me and stick close together now." He told them all

"Although in this case, you would be right, this one seems to be a fool incapable of speaking English properly." Corvus added causing her to smirk

"You there!" He pointed to Neville "Isn't that yer toad?" He asked

"Trevor!" Neville cried blissfully running forward and picking it up, while everyone, save for Daphne and Corvus, laughed at him

"Righ' well, let's get goin' you lot." Hagrid said

After a short walk, they arrived at the boats that would take them to the castle.

"Righ' then, no more than five to a boat." Hagrid shouted

The first years began climbing into the boats while Corvus helped Lucretia, Tracey, Pansy and Daphne into a boat before getting in himself. Both Corvus and Daphne had taken a seat at the back of the boat with Lucretia and Pansy in the centre and Tracey at the front.

"Righ' then, Forward!" Hagrid shouted pointing an umbrella forward before the boats started moving wanting to continue reading Salazar's research Corvus pulled his book out

Coming close to Hogwarts everyone let out an "Oooo" in awe while the girls contained their awe, though they were all clearly impressed by the enchanting castle

"Impressive." Corvus commented looking up from his book "Though...   Castle Black is much more grandeur...    and larger." this earned stares from the girls

Coming closer to the castle Corvus felt the wards wash over him before connecting to him, he felt his ring and magic resonate with the place.

Other than that, the boat ride was rather short and Corvus like everyone else remained silent in the trip, while they, minus the girls, were silent in awe while Corvus merely read his book. Stopping at the boathouse on the other side of the lake Corvus, being the gentleman that he is, helped the girls out the boats. Once out of the boats Hagrid lead them up some nearby stairs until they reached a set of giant oak doors.
