🙞🙟 Chapter Start 🙝🙜

(Hogwarts, January 31st 1992)

"So," Ophelia began "anything on Nott?" she asked as she caught up to her friend

Violet shook her head "Nothing new, everything seems just as that Zabini kid said."

"I see." Ophelia muttered in thought

"I doubt it will be much longer before he tries anything," Violet stated, "the fact that he is becoming less antsy could mean he's ready to make a move." Violet mused

Ophelia nodded in agreement "Maybe he received his father's permission to finally make a move?" She suggested

"More than likely." Violet agreed "It would make sense from Lord Nott's perspective, not only is he helping his allies by messing with their rival's business, but he is also playing to Daphne's guilt. The longer her family suffers, the more inclined she will be to agree to the marriage."

Ophelia gazed at her friend from the corner of her eyes.

"It's exactly what I'd do," Violet said, "he's strengthening his alliances and getting exactly what he wants at the same time." Ophelia hummed as her gaze returned to the dark hall they were walking down

"And about the former court," Ophelia spoke up after a brief pause, "does Corvus still have you watching them?" She asked

"He does," Violet confirmed, "though I have nothing to say for it." She sighed

"Lucas seems to be content with preparing for his N.E.W.T.s." Violet added

"And the rest of them?" Ophelia inquired curiously as she once again gazed at her friend from the corner of her eye

"Elwyn had never cared much for his position and spends most of his time with Lucas. From what I have seen, neither Higgs nor Rowle seems too happy with the change of leadership but I doubt they are willing to try anything again, at least not on their own that is."

"As for the remaining two, they seem like the most likely to try something." Violet spoke, "Gemma has never been one to give up easily, especially when it comes to her ambitions and I bet her resentment for Grace will only fuel the fire."

"Finally there is Travers, I'm sure you know exactly how he is." Violet stated "Although, he does seem a lot calmer as of recent. That can be either a good thing or a bad thing."

"We will find out eventually." Ophelia spoke as the two stopped at a seemingly dead-end

The two stared at the stone wall for several moments before it quietly opened, revealing one of the dungeon hallways.
