"If noodles had lives how would they live them?"

"... Man, that was deep as shit..."

We were both tired, probably banged into more trees than actually made progress walking.

So what were we doing?

Ha!

That's easy!

We were laying down and saying shit that not even satan himself can decipher.

"What if the noodles come to destroy us?"
I sat up and looked around.

The fog hasn't really gone down... more than anything... it's just been getting worse.

And unfortunately... it's only been getting darker.

"What? What noodles?"
Natalie's slurred words came from behind me.

"You know, the spooky lasagnas?
Eerie spaghetti?"
One of my hands synchronized with my words.

"Creepy pastas?" She asked.

"Yeah, those too."
I could hear a faint shuffling coming from behind me.

"I mean, we'll be fine.
As long as we lay low, stay quiet and try to draw as little attention to us as possible."

I fiddled with my hands that were, no longer, folded neatly in my lap;
trying to rub off the rest of Jack's black blood that caked my fingers.

Still feel kinda traumatized by killing someone, but not as much anymore...

he deserved it.

"Hey, Jamie?"

"Yeah?"

"Not trying to be gay or anything... but can I... you know... rest on you?
Heh,
I still kinda feel dizzy from Toby punching the living shit
out of me."

My lips curled into a thin line.

"Sure."

I could feel Natalie's quivering back press against mine,
making me hunch over
a lot further than I originally was.

Should I... should I hold her?

Does she feel uncomfortable?

This feels uncomfortable.

Shut up, she's gonna think that you like her...
and you don't.

I bit my already bleeding lip anxiously.

Fuck it.

I turned around and put my arms around Natalie, pulling her close to my chest.

Her body stayed tense,
but she didn't protest to my actions.

After a while she became limp and wrapped her arms loosely around my waist.
"I know this isn't the right time...
but damn,
you're like a... a bony... yet
comfy pillow."
Her strained voice became muffled as she nuzzled her face deeper into my chest.

I managed to give out a slight laugh.
"You sure you're not
dying over there?"

"Well... honestly I don't know... I feel high though..."

"You're acting like it too."
I ran my fingers through Natalie's knotted hair.

"Ouch!"
