How did you discover Wattpad?

I discovered Wattpad though a circle of friends. I was a fad in sixth grade, so I made an account. Through the years, I've been the only one to stick with writing.

How long have you had a Wattpad?

This account I've for around nine months, but I made my first account two years ago.

Is there meaning behind your username?

Actually, yes. I'm obsessed with many fandoms-Harry Potter, Doctor Who, you get the drift. All of my friends tell me I'm very open about my obsessions. Therefore, I'm Honestly Obsessed.

Why did you start writing? When did you discover your love for it?

I started writing through school. My teachers recommended me in second grade (age eight) to a grade level writing contest. I won, and I've been writing ever since.

Favorite Author/books/genres?

My favorite author is definitely JK Rowling. She inspired me so much. I grew up reading Harry Potter, which are my favorite books. It's what sparked my love of reading. My two favorite genres are fan fiction and realistic fiction. I love realistic fiction because I really love characters I can sympathize with, and I love fan fiction because the shows and books alone are never enough for me.

Do you want a career in writing?

I'm only thirteen, so I'm not quite sure if I'd like to be a writer full time. However, I know that whatever I do wind up ding, I'd want to write books on the side-on here or published-for the rest of my life.

Who supports you the most in your writing?

Um, it's kinda hard to say. I'm going to go with my followers on Wattpad. Their votes, comments, and even juts their reads keep me going!

Choose one of your books:

Cliche No More

What genre is it?

Realistic fiction, humor, and romance

What's it about?

It's about a young girl named Annie. She goes through eighth grade fighting off mean friends, bullying, and her first major crush.

What inspired you to write it?

Well, I was bullied in fifth grade, so I know firsthand how it feels. Also, I felt the need to try my hand at writing something other than fanfiction-I wanted to make my own universe.

How often do you update?

My updating schedule is pretty odd, since I have to juggle school, sports, and writing. I don't go more than three weeks without an update, and always post enough writing to fill up three Microsoft Word documents. It was last updating a week ago, so be looking for a new one soon!

How long are your chapters?

My chapters vary in "Wattpad

pages", but always fill up three word document pages on the default font and size,

Short or long updates?

I prefer long updates, especially if they are more spaced out. However, if they're too long, I find myself getting bored easier, as I don't concentrate well on the computer.

Are you proud with your book and your reads?

Considering that it's an original story, i'm pretty happy with it's 126 reads. It's only about halfway done, and I'm hoping to get a few more reads between now and when it's finished.

Advice for new authors?

I have a bit of advice. First: Don't give up easily. It'll take a while to get reads. Second: Get a good looking cover, and an interesting title and description. This'll get your book a lot more reads than anything else. Finally, make sure you update regularly. Okay? Okay.
