Chapter 25

Megan's POV
After having the talk with Nick, I felt a little bit better. I mean I'm still a bit mad at Kevin for what he said to me, but talking to someone about my issues helped me calm down and focus on something else.

I was hanging out in my room with my friends when a note was slide under my bed and a knock on my door, Kristy said.

Kristy: who could that be?
Megan: probably Kevin
Lily: how do you know that?

I got out of bed and picked up the note by the door and showed them.

Megan: whenever we do something fuck up when we visit our grandparents house. Our grandfather would make us write letters to each other before giving us time to talk face to face
Lily: that's a good idea, it gives you guys space. At least he's not begging for your forgiveness
Megan: I guess...
Kristy: are you gonna read it?
Megan: I don't know, I'm still pretty angry at him. I don't know what he might say in the letter
Lily: it wouldn't hurt to try, plus I want to hear what he has to say
Megan: *sighs* okay...

I unsealed the letter and read it out loud to them.

Dear Megan,
I made a huge mistake. I had no business calling you the s word, without hearing your side of the story first. After all, you were only 7 years old when Logan slept in your room, and you didn't know it was a bad thing or not. I overreacted and I'm sorry, sometimes I forget that you're not a little kid anymore and you are growing up. I know you won't always tells me things now that you're older, but you can always come talk to me and I promise to be reasonable about it. I love you Megan, and nothing gonna change that. I just hope you have the hearts to forgive me and I promise for now on, I will stay out of it.

PS: you can go see Logan if you like, I won't try to stop you

I was shocked after the letter. Was Kevin really gonna let me see Logan???

Kristy: wow, Kevin finally has a change of heart
Lily: I bet he only doing it because he feels guilty for what he said
Megan: well it's working...
Lily: are you gonna forgive him?
Megan: I mean he did apologized, and he's letting me see Logan... and he promised he wouldn't interfere
Lily: well... will see if he keeps his promise when you do go visit him
Megan: I don't even know where he lives
Kristy: what's his last name?
Megan: um... King. Logan King?
Kristy: let me borrow your computer

I looked for my blue pear computer and took it out and hand it to Kristy. I gave her the password to logged in and we both looked over her shoulder.

Lily: what are you doing?
Kristy: searching his name
Megan: Kristy there's a bunch of people name Logan King!
Kristy: yeah but I can find his picture. Do you remember what he looks like?
Megan: I mean, I have a picture of us when we we were little
Kristy: great! Let me see it

I took out my phone and looked for a picture of me and Logan. I found one and showed the girls and Lily said.

Lily: oh wow he is cute! And one heck of a bad boy too. I can see why your parents and brother didn't like him.
Megan: my dad was the pastor of the church, he didn't like any boys that I hang out with
Kristy: okay let me look for him

Kristy does a search on Facebook and found a older version of Logan King.

Megan: that's him!
Kristy clicked on his profile pic and went to his message.

Kristy: what should I say?
Megan: let me do it

I grabbed the computer and went to write, but stop myself. I didn't want to sound to desperate so I was careful with my choice of wordings.

Megan: hi Logan, I don't know if you remember me, but this is your childhood friend Megan. I found your profile online and I just recently visited La and I remember you moved back home with your family and I was wondering if we can hang out while we are staying? (To her friends) does that sound desperate? Or stalkerish?
Lily: I would leave out that you found him online, oh and remove the question mark
Megan: okay...

Megan changed up her sentence a bit and Lily said.

Lily: better, now send it

I sent it and waited back for his reply.

Megan: now what?
Lily: now we wait
Grandma: girls! Lunch is ready!
Megan: after lunch?
Lily: fine...

Megan and the girls were about to leave when Megan heard a ping on her computer. We raced back to my computer and open the message.

Megan: it's from Logan!
Lily: damn, that boy writes back fast
Megan: omg, he said he remember me and would love to do a meet up and he gave me the location!

We all squealed together, and jump up and down. Just then someone walked into my room, and we stopped. I looked at who it was and it was my grandfather.

Grandpa: what's going on in here?
Megan/Lily/Kristy: nothing...
Grandpa: hmph... what are you girls doing on the computer?
Megan: nothing grandpa
Grandpa: I hope you're not talking to strangers on their
Megan: we are not grandpa honest
Grandpa: alright just be careful, you don't want people cat fishing you
Megan: what do you know about cat fishing grandpa? You don't even know how to work the internet
Grandpa: there's a thing called the newspaper darling and kids today aren't very careful with who they're talking to on the internet, and needs to be monitor. Do you children need to be monitor?
Lily/Megan/Kristy: no...
Lily: don't worry Mr. Miller we aren't doing anything like that
Grandpa: *looks suspicious* alright kids, hurry up, lunch is ready
Megan: okay Grandpa, bye

My grandfather left and we sigh and I said.

Megan: that was close
Kristy: what if your grandfather right? What if someone pretending to be Logan King online
Megan: you guys can come with me! We can check him out at the place. I'll let him know where we can sit when we get there
Kristy: okay
Megan: hey it was your idea to look him up
Kristy: yeah but I didn't think about the consequences afterwards!
Megan: chill, everything will work out. I trust Facebook.
Kristy: I hope you're right about this, but I better not get in trouble for this!
Megan: don't worry, I'll talk the blame, as usual
Kristy: good 

I talked to Logan about the location and where to find each other, before heading down stairs to meet everyone for lunch.

So sorry for the delay, I lost some of the chapter and I had to rewrite them. I looked on YouTube for them. I had to rewrite the chapter anyways because those chapter I lost were about Megan's 16th birthday anyways and
i changed her age in this story.
