The two of them froze, lips aching, panting loudly while they both shot their heads over to who had interrupted. Marley's blush was hot. She kept her eyes off of Aiden when he lifted off of her. He brought her into an upright position by the small of her back, before sitting down beside her.

Heels clicked across the floor, alerting Marley and Aiden of what had stopped them in the first place.

"My apologies for interrupting," Dallas' smile said anything but sorry as she approached the dinner table, giving it a disinterested glance, "I asked where I could find you."

Marley hugged herself, extremely embarrassed and exposed as Aiden rubbed his eyes with the heels of his hands, "What the fuck do you want now?"

The blonde glanced between them with a sly smile, "I'll give you two a minute, and wait outside. We need to talk."

She left the room with as much grace as she entered it. Aiden growled under his breath, "It's a joke at this point. The universe is fucking with me, Marley. For goddamn once Kahn isn't around to burst in and it's her instead-" he yelped when Marley smacked his arm, standing from the couch and adjusting her dress.

She patted down her hair to look presentable enough to see why Dallas was here in the first place, "We need to talk to her, Aiden."

He sighed dramatically from behind her, "I know." she scanned over his sour expression with an eye roll while he took her hand, "I fucking hate the drama."

"Well, it sure loves you."

Dallas was sitting on the swinging bench with one ankle crossed over the other, picking her nails stoically and staring out at the darkening sky, obscured by the swaying trees of the forest that surrounded them.

It was quiet apart from the sounds of crickets, birds, and various indiscernible noises. The sun had began to set, casting an orange-red glow on everything.

Aiden wasn't bothered, but Marley  approached on cautious feet, her lower lip between her teeth. She was still embarrassed about what Dallas had walked in on.

Dallas knew they were there, but didn't turn. Marley sat down on the opposite side of the bench, curling her knees up to her chest. Aiden rested a heavy, muscled arm over her shoulders, so she leaned into his warmth. Dallas watched on for a few seconds too long, before peeling her eyes away and rising from the bench.

"I'm here because despite the fact that I'm supposed to keep this to myself, I thought you should know. Even I can admit my brother is, at times, unpredictable."

Aiden tensed from beside Marley, so she rested a hand on his knee, "What's wrong, Dallas?"

"He and Ian are together right now-"

Aiden shot out of the bench violently, his fists balled and his body already quaking.

"That fucker. Where are they?" He demanded menacingly, while Marley scrambled after him, curling a hand around his forearm and slipping her other through his.
