Your P.O.V

It's afternoon. The student's from my school were busy talking to their friends, getting in the buses, and walking home. The sky was in a beautiful shade of orange. Such a pretty color. As usual, I walk to go home I see a familiar figure a few feet away from me. His neat brown hair slightly shining and changing color due to the sky's color. He was walking home as well. "Hey! Butt-face!" I called over to that guy. I ran over to him smiling as I saw him turn around to face me.

James Daniel Ivory. A friend of mine. Actually.. The only friend of mine in this whole school.. Not like I'm the loner and anti-social type of girl, it's just that.. The people in my class an be so.. Mean. I prefer being friends with just James. Well, he can be an ass sometimes but he's a great friend. An ass on the outside but he's a kind and caring friend in the inside. The best friend I could ever ask for. Now before you assume that James is that 'So-called very close friend that would be the one who I would end with' guy, let me say this isn't like those ordinary romance novels that you read online or in pocket books. Um.. Well... I haven't confirmed that yet though... Whatever! I'm sure he already has someone else.. Maybe.

"Oh, why if it isn't little ms. always-sleeps-in-class~" He hummed as he smirked. His hazel eyes glinting of mischief as always. I caught up with him. "For your information I only slept because--" "Because 'busy with homework'?" He interjected. "W-Well yeah!" I defended. "Yeah right. You stayed up talking to your 'Internet friends' online again?" He said as he cocked an eyebrow. "What? No. I was studying for the quiz earlier! Besides, They're all offline." Our little conversation went down for a couple of minutes. "Yeah right. Like you even study nowadays anyway." He chuckled. Well, he does have a point, I've been a lot lazy lately. After a few more minutes are arguing over my 'sleeping issues', we then finally decided it was already late and most of the students went home already.

On the way home, me and James just talked about stuff that happened earlier in school. You know? What typical high school students talk about everyday. James was a very and I mean very talkative person. He's one of those 'heart robs' in school too. I don't get it with the girl students. They barely know James. They're just after his looks. And they be like 'Oh. My. Fucking. Lord. He's so gorgeous!11!1!!'. They won't even leave the guy alone for just a minute.

The worst part is that they always bullied me.. They were jealous that I was friends with James.

'You're WAY too ugly to be his friend.' 'You don't deserve to be near him!' 'He doesn't need a friend as lame as you.' 'He deserves better companionship.'

I hate to admit it but they were right. I'm the least admirable and noticeable girl in class. I'm only noticeable when people need something from me. Like a pen or an eraser maybe. People only notice me when they want to pick on me too. Geez! I hate wallowing in self-pity!

I remembered when one of his Desperate 'Fan-girls' suddenly attacked him out of nowhere. She tried to drag him away, with him protesting of course. The girl was so desperate to be his girlfriend that she decided follow-- Oops. I meant stalk him for the rest of the day. She didn't leave him alone, which left James hiding in empty classrooms and skipping class. Without knowing, I let out throat chuckle on the outside. James turned to me and cocked an eyebrow. "There you go again. Being weird as usual, laughing at nothing, I haven't even told you a joke yet!" He said with his usual sarcastic tone. "Hey, I'm not weird! I just laughed! So laughing a restriction now?" I defended. "Maybe. Oh Hey, there's my house! See ya, Weird-girl!" James, James, James. Why do you give me such corny nicknames? "Yeah! See you!" I ignored the nickname he gave me and just waved at him. He waved back at me and went to the other side of the road, to his house. I continued on my way. My house wasn't far from his. Just a few blocks away. Though it always felt lonely walking alone.
