Day by day they slaughter Week by week they "pray" Hell is getting hotter Still the weak will prey
Upon the innocents Upon our innocense It makes no bloody sense But we've accepted it since:
"My right to bear arms" Your fright to their harms The plight of their charms Alight to alarms
A cycle in the news A psycho in the news Homicidal in the blues For survival we must choose
To end the bloodshed The laws are all dead Took a bullet to the head The killer, homebred
Rewrite, resist, and rise Not through chaos but through peace Stand above the hate and lies Let the killing come to cease ________________

Brothers and sisters, for those of us not already in the habit, let's memorize and recite this daily when we leave our homes. Bloodshed is rising worldwide and it seems safety is not guaranteed anywhere. High schools, grocery stores, places of worship, universities, businesses, on the street, anywhere you can think of, there has been recent violence and killing in the news.
I don't say this to scare everyone or make anyone hopeless nor paranoid, just be cautious everyone. Always remember Allah wherever you are. Seek His protection from anyone who means you harm, and from the dangerous occurrences of nature as well. Make duah and put your full trust in Allah.
