Percy led us onward, towards the next town.
I couldn't help but pant, continuing to drag myself on.

Caiden stayed by my side, also looking tired.

"J-Jackson, can w-we rest?"
He looked back at me, seeing me and Caiden almost falling over.
"Come on, just a few more minutes."
Leo and Annabeth seemed to be doing fine, but I was done.
I gave a small nod, reaching my mind out to the trees, who quickly wrapped their branches around me and Caiden before handing us off to the next tree, than the next, moving us forward.

Percy just watched with big eyes, which I ignored and let him and the other demi-dorks chase us from behind.

"Hurry up Jack, he's moving faster now!"
The twins played happily together as Jack sped forward.
Taylor just held my hand as I took deep breaths.

I shouldn't have gotten mad at him.
It wasn't even his fault.

It wasn't long before we all entered a small town.

"Cameron! I have an idea!"
I looked up at Percy, pausing from my sandwich I had bought from the gas station.

"Do you think... You can use your plant power or whatever... To get us to Halfblood camp quicker?"

"Uh... Yeah, I don't see why not."
I shrugged, letting Caiden eat the rest of my sandwich.

"Annabeth said it might be quicker." Jackson stated as Annabeth walked over, watching me closely.
Leo on the other hand, was trying to snatch my sandwich from Caiden, who whined in return.

"Leo, don't take his food." Percy said, grabbing Leo's arm and pulling him away.

Leo was definitely something, huh?

We walked over to the tree line, looking over the many trees.
"Okay, pines or oaks?"

Annabeth gave me a side glance that asked what in the world I was talking about.
"Which do you wanna ride? Pines are faster but aren't as comfortable, while oaks are my first choice because of the gentleness they use when carrying you."

Percy grinned "Pine."
Annabeth and Leo also did Pine before making some weird joke about a girl named Thila.
I ignored them and whispered to the trees, asking for a ride.

"Then we'd better hurry if we wanna get back" Percy started, being interrupted by a loud honk.

I looked over at a van, which seemed pretty normal until my dad stepped out, looking REALLY MAD.

"Cameron Vey! Get your butt over here this instant."

"Oh boy."

Yes, this is a small lil chapter, but I'll hopefully have a much bigger chapter out in just a couple days.
