"Mhmm... " I opened my eyes, feeling cold, but wrapped in soft linen.
"Shhh, go back to sleep." A soft voice cooed, gently closing my eyes.
I felt safe, loved, protected... And cared for.
I didn't know where I was, but I was just thankful for being taken care of.
A spoon gently pushed some soup into my mouth, which I swallowed hungrily.
This was so much better than being in that alley.
I slowly drifted back to sleep, dreaming of news worlds and amazing things.

Sliver's POV.

"Sliver, Cameron is gone."
I stared up at my Master's adoptive parents, wondering what I needed to help with to find my friend.
"Can you sense him or something?"
I gave a determined nod and sniffed his book, catching his scent before scampering off outside.
Michael gathered the electroclan and formed a plan while I got ready to start tracking him.
Jack grumbled the whole time about not needing Cameron at all, while the rest of the team formed a plan.
My master was very important to me, meaning I couldn't mess up.
I was going to find my master, even if it took the rest of my life to do so.
Michael and Natalie both followed me as we began the search for my master.

Cameron's POV.

I yawned and opened my tired eyes, seeing a gray ceiling above me.
Slowly, I sat up and looked around, wondering where I was.
The room had dark blue walls and brown wood floors, along with some book shelves and a desk.
I slowly pulled myself out of the bed and around the room, seeing one of the walls was a huge fish tank.
Where am I?
I walked over to the door, pushing it open and peeking out down the hallways.
When I figured the coast was clear, I took off running at full speed down the hallways until I rounded the corner, crashing into someone and falling back on the ground.
"Ow!" I yelled, sitting up, still holding my head.
A man looked down at me with a concerned expression.
"Are you alright!?"
"Y-yeah, I'm okay."
He pulled me up and make sure my head was okay before sighing.
"Why were you running?"
".......I.... Was hiding."
He ignored my strange behavior and led me into a large living area.
"Well, I'm Quentin, me and wife found you in the rain, so we brought you here."
It was strange to know this man just came and picked me up, not knowing if I was some street kid or something.
Maybe he thinks I'm homeless?
"Do you want waffles?"
I nodded quickly, watching him pull out the waffle iron.
"Blueberry?"
"... Sure."
Quentin mixed the batter and began cooking as I watched.
"... Why am I here?"
Quentin smirked, glancing over at me.
"Your father was... My mentor."
"He taught me and raised me to be the Eglen's future leader."
"... And... Your being nice to me?"
"My father imprisoned you, didn't he?"
Quentin nodded, pouring the mix into the iron.
"Yes, but your not your father."
That was true enough.
"Yeah, but I look like him."
Quentin ignored me and continued making waffles until someone else walked in.
"Taylor?"
Quentin chuckled "No, that's Taylor's twin and my wife, Tara."
I gave a small wave to Tara, feeling kinda awkward.
"Now Cameron, let's eat, then have a small chat, hm?"
Small chats were never good.
