Chapter 20: EXACTLY

I opened my eyes and just stared at the white ceiling for a few minutes. I knew it was Hal I saw in my dream. The same dream that I kept on dreaming but that time, the blurred boy with ocean blue eyes was definitely Hal.

His body, except his arms, head, and shoulders was submerged on the water and he was leaning his arms on the rock that I was sitting. He had the same familiar smile and the eyes.

I sat up and scratched my head. "I'm going crazy." I muttered.

Was it because I kept on thinking about him these past few days? But he had the same smile and eyes of the boy in my dreams.

My phone rang and I reached for it and checked who it was but I had a doubt who it was because no one ever calls me early in the morning except for Hal.

I smiled when I read Hal's name in my phone. I smiled not because it was him but because I guessed it was him who called.

I answered and pressed the phone on my ear.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Good morning." He said and I bit my lips.

"Morning."

"I'll be there after twenty minutes."

I stood up instantly. "What!? Why? I just woke up!"

"I'm driving you to school, of course and you have nineteen minutes to shower, change and eat your breakfast."

"I wasn't in—" I pulled my phone from my ear when I heard the beep tone saying that Hal already ended the call and I stared in horror.

"What the fuck?" I exclaimed and ran to get my towel and take a quick shower.

It took me fifteen minutes to take a shower and change into fresh clothes before I went down and saw mom and dad eating breakfast.

"I'm not eating breakfast. I'm late. Bye, take care." I said.

"It's still seven five." Mom said and I just shook my head and went out of the house.

I crossed the road and waited for Hal as I pulled my phone from the bag and checked the time. It was still too early to go to school but I wouldn't mind going to school early.

I raised my head when a familiar bike parked in front of me and Hal pulled the helmet off his head.

"Hey." He greeted and smiled. "That was quick, you missed me that much?"

I frowned at him. "Ass."

He chuckled and gave me an extra helmet. "Did you eat breakfast?"

"Not hungry."

"How about coffee? It's still early, we can stop by a drive thru." He said and I nodded.

**

Hal parked in the motorcycle parking area of the school. I went down the bike and pulled the helmet off then gave it back to Hal.

"Thanks." I said and he smiled and hang the helmet on the his bike and get the cellophane where our take out coffee's were placed. He gave me my coffee. "How much?"

"A thank you is enough." He said and I know he was stubborn like Al.

"Thank you." I said and he grinned.

"And a kiss too."

I wrinkled my forehead and made a face. "Shut up. You sound like a pervert."

I wanted to smack myself especially my heart for reacting from what he said. Why the hell did my heart do that? So fucking gay.

Hal chuckled. "Do you have plans this weekend?"

"I—No. I think I don't."

"Will you go with me?"

"The beach at your backyard?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"Yes, I promised you about it." He said and he surprised me when he ruffled my hair like I was a little kid and it made my cheeks heat up.

I felt a little excited about it. I couldn't wait to see the water.

I pushed his hand away from messing my hair making him smile even wider. "Okay."

"I'll see you later."

I nodded. "Okay."

I felt like a human robot that only knew the word 'okay.'

We parted in the locker hallway and I saw Albert in front of his locker as I walked to mine. I opened it and pulled my binder and history book when I suddenly heard Albert cleared his throat and I knew why he was doing it.

"Fuck off, Al." I said and shut my locker.

"What? I just cleared my throat, can't I?" He said trying to sound innocent.

"Yes, you can't."

"I saw you with him." He cleared this throat while saying the last word and it annoyed me. "No wonder you didn't want me to drive you—"

"Shut up. He just offered a ride and I don't have a choice because he was already waiting outside."

I hate it when someone teases me.

"Okayyyyy." He said and I glared at him. He was giving me a look that he wasn't convince with what I said.

"Stop giving me that look or else I will skin your face."

"What look?" He grinned and I wanted to trip him. I thought of things to piss him and I did think of one.

I sudendly glanced at the back. "Oh, hey, Caleb!" I greeted and Al jumped and glared at his back only too see someone else and not Caleb.

The guy wrinkled his forehead and Al pushed my shoulder making me laugh. His face was priceless.

"Fuck you! You know I hate that shit!" He said and I couldn't stop laughing.

"Exactly."
