Hope slowly yawned as she tried to wake up. Feeling a weight on her shoulder, Hope looked and found a set of curly brown locks were obscuring her view.

Hope sighed laughingly as she knew it had to be Harry Styles. The cheeky little rascal had surprised her by joining her on her plane ride back to New York. Hope honestly had no idea what she was going to do with him. Somehow Harry Styles had gone from being a part of One Direction, a band that she loved, to weaseling his way into her heart and becoming a close friend of hers. A friend that she was beginning to cherish very much. Harry Styles made her laugh like no other person could and when she was with him; Hope’s day always seemed full of joy and mischief.

A part of Hope though worried that she was playing with Harry’s heart as she let him close into hers. She made him promise to only seek her out as a friend, but Harry Styles just didn’t seem the kind to listen to instructions like that…

“Hey,” Harry said, slowly opening his eyes to display vibrant emerald hues.

“Hi Harry,” Hope said softly in response.

Harry knew that he should get up but he didn’t know the next time he would have the opportunity so instead he burrowed his head back and laid it against Hope’s shoulder.

“Harry Styles I know you’re awake.” Hope said, laughter lacing her words.

“Nooooo…” Harry mumbled as he tried to close his eyes again.

“Absolutely shameless,” Hope said sighing exasperated.

Harry smiled into Hope’s shoulder, that he was, especially when it came to Hope.

By the time they landed, it was rather late in the evening with the three hour time change. Harry helped Hope carry her stuff out as all he had was a single backpack with a change of clothes and his wallet.

While on the tram to the main terminal, Hope stole Harry’s beanie, putting it on over her hair, causing Harry to laugh as the hat was actually too big on her. It fell down, covering her eyes. He tilted it back so that Hope’s almond eyes could be seen, twinkling in laughter, the very eyes that he was in love with. He couldn’t help himself, he had done exactly what Hope had asked him not to, and fallen in love with her. But for the time being he had to hide it from her, until the time was right.

Harry was the first, being the taller of the pair despite Hope’s wedges, to see the large poster welcoming Hope home. It was Belle sitting on Ian’s shoulders, holding the sign. Belle, upon seeing Harry, squealed, wiggling to be put down. Ian did so quickly before she could do him damage but immediately regretted it when the precocious girl ran off into the crowd.

“Aunt Hope!” Belle said launching herself into Hope’s arms.

Hope caught her quickly with a small laugh. “Hi sweet,” Hope said kissing Belle’s cheek just as the girl turned to face Harry, stars in her eyes.

“Best sou-ven-ear ever!” she said breaking the word apart as she learned from Lacey to pronunciate her words correctly, as she turned back to Hope, causing the two teens to burst into laughter.

Lacey and Ian came running up to them, rather relieved that they had Belle. Landon bounced and giggled upon seeing his Aunt Hope.

Hope put Belle down but the girl protested as she reached her arms out to Harry. Hope shook her head as she lightly tapped her finger on Belle’s forehead before handing her to Harry, who could only grin.

Lacey gladly handed Landon over as the boy had refused to be let down, and her arms could finally take a break.

Hope cooed at him, before giving him butterfly kisses that made him break out into the most adorable baby giggles.
