The two children woke up the next morning to a livid Amenata who wanted to know why they knew about the pond and why they stayed out the house for the whole night. Imani quickly told Amenata about her talking in her sleep, and that they were their so long that they went to sleep while trying to get to know each other a little better. Amenata was about to yell again but saw the light in Imani's eyes had changed. She laughed and said they'll talk about their group's future at a later time.

Christian was already doing his morning workout trying to make out what he saw in the women he was starting to like a little. He didn't want to annoy her though. They did just wake up from sleeping on the ground. He thought he should wait for the right moment to bring it up to her.

Amenata called Christian to walk with her to her basement. Christian never seen this part of the house so it sounded very out of place for her to do that, but thought he was just sleepy. After all, it was her house, right?

When they made it to the trap door next to the backdoor, she didn't raise a key but said, " Let the light shine upon the son, so his flames shall never die." The doors slammed open to reveal crusty wooden stairs leading downward to her inner lair.

"Sorry I couldn't show you this earlier but I didn't want it tampering with your resolve, but now that your powers are coming into full maturation there can't be anymore hiding it." Amenata said with a cautious voice.

" The reason I emphasized on your hand to hand combat is because your father left you something , and in the situation you lost it, you'd still be able to fight. It's a medium for your powers, and will finish your powers development when you unsheath it." Amenata said.

Christian was excited to know what his father left him, but surprised when it was a weapon, and the type of weapon he imagined surprised him even more.             " Unsheath? Like a sword?" He said, amazed. Amenata went to a chest next to the wall and said " The light of fenrir grows ever brighter." and the chest popped open. Amenata went inside and grabbed a sword about the size of a yardstick out of its contents and there was a note tied to the hilt. Amenata said " This is the sword that the 3rd Elder used in battle, the Shinra. Unsheath it, and the sword should unlock the rest of your powers." Amenata said with a small smile. She knew the time would come, just not this fast.

Christian took the sword from Amenata and found that he was comfortable with it already, as if he always had it. The sheath was made of oak, and was painted midnight blue with a yellow dragon twisting around it. The hilt was royal blue and the handguard was a circle with a flame design inside it made of iron. He examined every detail and suddenly realized that he'd soon find out his true power. He started to feel nervous and turned to Amenata and asked, "Just take it out?"

Amenata nodded and Christian looked down at the sword and for some weird reason he thought that it was alive, like it had a  heartbeat. Christian took the sheath off the sword, and the blade was so sharp he was scared to look at it for too long. The blade wasn't what he expected to see in terms of color. It was matte black with the name Simon engraved vertically into the blade. It caught Christian's attention and he felt the ground spin and he fainted.

  AMENATA'S P.O.V.

I was so happy that I finally got to see this side of him, but Imani's eyes weren't that bright since we were little, and he looks at her so much different than he does me. I have to concentrate on furthering his training with a new weapon he doesn't know how to use.

END of P.O.V.

Amenata was in a state of shock when Christian fell to the cellar floor unconscious. She thought that his power surge might've overwhelmed him but she couldn't sense any increase so she decided to wait and see what happened.

Christian woke up on the ground of the same endless valley as the one he visited in that vision he had in the hospital. He stared into the distance to see if there was anyone else there with him. Suddenly, a hearty voice from above said " He looks like a frail little guy, but his spirit is tremendous. I wasn't wrong in the slightest, but I didn't expect my replacement to look so.....deceiving."

In books Christian read about this legendary figure and it made sense to him why he was there now. He looked up and saw the Goddess of Destiny and the God of Life floating with a man with shockingly bright blue eyes who looked to be in his mid to late 20's. He wore a kind smile and had sleek, jet black hair. He wore a white tunic with blue trim, and matching pants with white Japanese sandals you'd see in an old pagoda. He also carried what looked like a newer version of the katana Amenata gave him.

Christian was staring at the 3rd Elder.

"Christian, you've gotten strong! This type of progress is unreal. Mystics are so gifted it's hard to tell they're even human!" The Godess of Destiny exclaimed while giving Christian a rib cracking hug. The God of Life only nodded in agreement. He had an irritated face on for some reason Christian couldn't decipher.

The man laughed and said " Its my fault he's mad. I'm dead, so influencing the living is one of the things he's not supposed to support, but this for the living's survival. My name is Simon and I was the 3rd Elder in life. I was to be summoned to come from the part of my lifeforce I left in shinra when the lifeforce of my reincarnation came in contact with it. Who are you?"

Christian was starting to feel like things like this was normal and didn't question it.

"My name is Christian. Sorry, I just found out about the sword not even 10 minutes ago, but I was told by my master that my power is at it's peak and to fully-" Christian was interrupted by Simon. " I know and you may have figured that's why I'm here to help you unlock them."He said with a chuckle.

He jumped from his spot on the cliff and landed near the valley's center. Christian teleported a few feet away from him and to his surprised Simon unsheathed his sword and said " Well, what're'ya waiting for? If you want them come take them."

Well that's not a good twist right?!?! How would he win??? This dude was the best at fighting and the generations of his lineage kept the same trait alive throughout history....I wonder if there's a chance we'll see the 3rd Elder's eccentric side.
