Chapter 58
Present time: Muspell
Sutur could not remember the last time he had felt this happy. The ground had told him of a massive volcanic eruption. One of the nine worlds was being drowned in flame and reduced to ashes. The huge demon was a little regretful that he couldn't be there to witness it. He was still locked firmly away in his prison. But there was still plenty more worlds to burn.
Sutur pounded his fist on the magical barrier. It shimmered and rippled but still held firm. The air continued to ripple and shimmer in front of him. Sutur thought it was just the barrier continuing to vibrate but then Mountains appeared before his eyes. He saw smoke and flames, lava spewing.
The lord of Muspell revelled in the sight and raised a fist in triumph as he laughed, strange people began to spill out of the portal onto the grassy plain. They were all singed and burnt. They were white skinned but their faces were blue. Sutur marvelled at the sight, then he saw other stranger people trying to come through but the blue faced creatures cut them down.
The withered people continued to kneel in two perfect lines that led to the strange stone circle. They moved as one and all of them prostrated themselves, face first into the grass. More of the Furies poured out of the portal and made way as four of them came through baring a stretcher. The stretcher was carried down the aisle of Passus and gently laid upon the central stone inside the stone ring.
A weary and blackened Sophia and Gullveig marched behind the stretcher, shouting out orders as they went. Furies began picking Passus at random and hauling them to their feet. They were dragged to the ring and tied to each of the standing stones.
Sutur drank it all in greedily, it had been so long since he had witnessed such chaos. The man in the black suit was the last to come through the portal before it snapped shut. He was wearing different clothes to normal. He walked straight up to the magical barrier and crossed his arms. Sutur still had no idea who this strange creature was or what his purpose and intent was. Nor could the fire demon understand a word the Loki said
"Soon you will be free, soon all nine worlds will burn. Ragnarok will begin and I shall be there to watch all those rotten Aesir gods die!"
Loki bent his head back and began to laugh like a madman as he thought of all the gods dying and how he would dance on their corpses.
Sophia and Gullveig began to slit withered throats. In an orgy of blood and death the two witches began to work dark and deadly magic's.
