Days turned into weeks, as weeks turned into months, and I soon lost track of how long i've been here as i've slowly been getting closer and closer to Serge. I couldn't resist his advances on me nor could I no longer resist the pull to him. Callias is somewhat tolerant of me now, that doesn't mean to say that he likes me, no...he still hates me with a burning passion.

Nikolas has stopped throwing himself on me whenever he had the chance to. I seldom go into the library, but I've had Serge read me the book that Nikolas picked out for me. Since most of it was in Russian, he didn't mind translating it all for me. He opened up to me about his world, and I opened up to him about mine. Most of which he knew about. He told me that he and Nikolas were never truly close friends.

They grew up together, but he was born a bastard son due to his mother's hidden affair with Callias. Nikolas' mother's whereabouts were left unknown, Serge only told me that Callias took care of her and he left it at that. It was mostly Nikolas who had a bitter edge with Serge, they grew up competing with one another for Callias' affections.

Nikolas always wanted what Serge had, and since Serge had me, Nikolas wanted me too. He was trying to prove something to Callias, and since Callias didn't consider Nikolas his son, he always tried to get into Serge's way by trying to be better than Serge.

Serge's mom, knew about the affair, but she never said a word about it until the day she took her own life and revealed about it all in a letter. In her silent distress she burned all of her memories with Callias, and she was last seen in her wedding dress... on Callias' bed. She had a portrait of her done during the day that she was about to take her own life, and left that to Callias, in reminder of his failed promise to her.

The family hung up the portrait in the hallway in her memory ever since. Not a word about her was to be spoken, by orders of Callias himself.

I still considered it to be pretty offensive in how Nikolas used me for his benefits...especially when he already had a mate of his own. He apologized to me for...doing the things that he did with me, he was having a hard time trying to accept that his mate was also a boy, a human boy, especially since he considered himself to be straight in the first place. He claims that his actions were driven by blinded lust more than admiration.

I of course, forgave him, but things between us became pretty awkward after that. He stopped talking to me, and I stopped talking to him...Serge knows everything about what happened between us thanks to Nikolas' private confession. And of course.. he got mad. Really mad. But one look from me sent him to a whimpering mess.

He and I were currently side by side in the front yard, watching the other werewolves play in the yard with their mates. I was sitting on top of Serge's lap as his played with a few locks of my hair. The sun was setting, and turning into brilliant shades of purples, blues, and pinks all blended in together. "Serge... can I ask you something?" I whispered. He only hummed as a response before kissing the nape of my neck; causing me to giggle.

"Anything beautiful." He murmured against the bare skin as he gave my neck soft butterfly kisses that were full of warmth. I giggled again when his breath tickled my skin. "I c-can't concentrate when you keep kissing me like that though." I whined.

Serge chuckled against my neck before pulling me in closer to his chest, he wrapped his hairy, muscular arms around my slender waist before tickling me there. "S-serge, i'm t-trying to be serious here!" I giggled between my breaths. He only paused for a moment when he let out a deep sigh, "guess my distraction is not working then huh?" I chuckled at his pout, before poking his cheek with my index finger. "Is this what it feels like to be happy?" I whispered urgently.

Serge sighed deeply, as he pecked my cheek. "Now why would ask me such a thing?" He murmured while he traced my neck up and down with his finger. "B-because... I wouldn't mind it if it meant being with you like this." I whispered so lowly, that I hoped he didn't hear me. Serge froze and tensed slightly. As if he couldn't believe what he was hearing...."W-what are you trying to say exactly?" He pursed.
