My eyes felt like they were going to pop out of their sockets at any second. My heart was beating impossibly fast, and I could scarcely breath, as Callias shifted into a beast. It certainly was a wolf from what I can see, but it looked mutated. It was twice the size of an average wolf.

Saliva was pouring and dripping out of his jaw while his pupils seemed dilated as its eyes turned blood red. When he shifted into the air, he fell onto the table with a loud thump; allowing the table to break into two with a loud crack. The sound of silverware crashing,  soon turned into a hurricane of messes.

Screams erupted from the children, and cries from the women trying to console them only increased, as they watched their alpha take on their next prey; which is going to be me.

I was left paralyzed in fear as every inch of my body seemed frozen. I couldn’t move, couldn’t feel, and couldn’t think of anything else but death. I’m going to die. I’m going to die! Soon a couple of loud roars erupted from behind me, as two new wolves jumped over me and landed in just a few feet away from me.

The table is ruined, the family is in distress, and I couldn’t do anything but sit there as my heart felt like it was going to rip out of my chest from how hard it was pounding.  The wolves in front of me were growling and snarling at Callias, who’s wolf’s fur is coated in black.

Both their ears were pulled back as they felt motivated to attack Callias, while Callias went absolutely mental. He was blinded by this rage that I didn't know that he  possessed, as he tried to move around the wolves who were thankfully, trying to protect me and not the other way around.

Four other men soon shifted and joined in the brawl. They all had Callias cornered and backed up into a wall.  He was going absolutely mad. By now the children left with their mothers into a different room, and as much as I wished for them to take me with them. I couldn’t.

I couldn’t move. I couldn’t move. My eyes were firmly locked with Callias, as his blood red dilating eyes were firmly locked with mine.

The grey wolf, was the first to approach him, and pawed his face, with elongated claws. Callias retaliated by snarling, and pushing him back down with his paws and snapping at his face.  The other wolves were hesitant to approach them. But still remained high on their gaurd.

Before the reddish brown wolf took one step forward to the scene, he pulled his head back and let out a low whine, which attracted the others. Especially the grey wolf that was still underneath Callias, as he responded with a few whines himself.

The reddish brown wolf pulled his ears backwards and put his tail in between his legs as he slowly approached me.  And once he did he nudged my leg with his wet nose, urging me to follow him, at first I couldn’t, as I still found myself frozen in my seat.

He nudged me a few more times before letting out a couple of more whines, I shakily got up from the chair and wobbly followed the wolf, all against my better judgement. If I didn’t know any better, I found myself trusting this wolf, I had a feeling that he wouldn’t hurt me.

And as skeptical as I was about this whole ordeal, I still followed him. I began to flinch and twitch as I heard a few growls behind me, but I still trudged forward. The wolf led me back upstairs and into my room, which he opened for me with a slight push from his nose. The door wasn’t locked anyways, and its suprised me at how much strength he had.

He was the same size as the rest of the wolves but less intimidating. As I shakily entered my room, I couldn’t help  but collapse against the wall. I comforted myself as best as I could, when I wrapped my arms around me.  I could hear bones breaking and rearranging as the wolf turned back into its human form.

To my surprise it was Nikolas, and not Serge, and as strange as it was I found myself hoping that it was Serge.  When I looked up at him, he was completely stark naked, but I couldn’t bring myself to blush at a time like this so I just stared at him in complete question.

When he was by my side he neeled down next to me and wrapped me up in his arms; with me in his lap. I didn’t even care that he was in the nude. I was just desperate for comfort. I found myself racked up in sobs as my whole body convulsed in distress.

He only sighed as he held me tightly in his arms, and placed his chin on top my head.  I needed this. “I’m sorry you had to see that.” He whispered, I whimpered as I nuzzled my face into his bare and hairy chest. “Its okay to cry, and its okay to be scared, i’ll be right here. So let it out.” And let it out I did.
