A whisper in the dark
A wisp of light in the silence
a torch burning bright in
the bottom of the ocean
A glimpse of brown
a peep of caramel
a shy glance at red
and it's enough
hidden for the eye
dwell you and I
an emerald and a rock
far, far away
You were buried under the Earth
something to be found and polished
loved and kept
yet I was something to be thrown away
