The boy who pledged
to protect his people
was the one who couldn't
protect his family
The boy who pledged
to destroy all evil
was the one
mistaken for evil himself
to boy who pleged
to be the best
was the one who kept falling
but each time, got back up
The boy that lost everything
gave everything he had
the buy who was doubted
had the most faith in all of them
the hot-headed boy
the passionate boy
the one ridiculed, the one who was weak
proved you all wrong
the boy protected
by his sister
the one you insulted over and over
he saved you all
he never asked for thanks
never boasted once
he smiled at the ones who stabbed him
but you, you never once accepted him
the boy dodged your daggers
and saved your lives
by throwing his own on the line
yes he, fulfilled his pledged
