The sky is dark, tonight
The stars shine bright, tonight

The trees whisper of lovers' tales
The tide converse of words exchanged in secret
The wind asks me where you are, tonight
It is saddened by your absence this night
The rose on your door is kept fresh
from the salty droplets of grief
But your house is shut tight, tonight
