Mia's Point Of View

I grabbed my laptop and decided to skype justin since I don't have my phone with me, seconds later he picked up

"Hey Jay"

He rubbed his eyes adjusting the phone

"Did I wake you up?" I asked

"Yeah you did" he mumbled

"I'm sorry, um- I just wanted to apologize for leaving without telling you last night, I don't remember anything anyways but im sorry"

"Don't worry about it, your mom called and told me that you're staying at Ethan's" he said rolling his eyes

I faked a smile "yeah... Um anyway you have my phone right?"

"Yeah it's right here" he said looking to the side

"Do you mind bringing it later on?" I bit my lip

"Not at all, I need to talk to you about something but face to face"

"Oh- is everything ok?" I asked

"Don't frown, everything's fine. We'll talk later"

"Okay. Laters" I said hanging up

I decided to clean my room, organize my closet and relax right after that and that was exactly what i did.

Mom came from work around 6 pm since she started at four am and she asked me how was last night, it was awkward to talk about it but the most important thing about that talk was Ethan.

"Mom I need to ask you something" I said

"Sure honey what's up?"

"Be honest with me ok?"

"Ok"

"Do you or dad have anything to do with Ethan and i's breakup?"

"Why'd you think so?" She asked raising her brows

I gave her a 'really now' look making her sigh

"It was your dad,"

"I knew it i kne-"

"But he only did it to protect you from getting hurt again"

"But im not little anymore. You guys need to stop acting like this. Let me grow up, do mistakes, mess things up, learn from my mistakes you can't protect me forever" I said

"I know honey I know but you're still our only child and we don't want you to get hurt in any kind of way" she said

"Well I'm not gonna be your only child soon" I paused "plus soon enough I'll be leaving and I'll start working again and you have to face it cuz I'll be on my own," I continued

She sighed "I know, it was wrong to do what he- we did but you need to understand where we're coming from"

"Don't worry I understand. You know I always do"

"By the way. How did you get in?" She questioned

"Balcony" I rolled my eyes

"Oh." She frowned "why'd you leave it unlocked"

I turned my head to the side "um i must've forgot to lock it"

She hummed "so are you and Ethan back together?"
