Chapter 3: I see you

Mia's Point Of View:

I scrolled through my contacts and tapped on Emma's name which was 'Boo thang' and called her

Five seconds later she picked up "hello" she said through giggles

"well at least someone's happy" I mumbled

She stayed quiet for a few seconds "what's wrong?" She asked

"Nothing," I sighed "what are you doing?"

"I'm just sitting with Chaz, catching up and shit" she said

I hummed "i see! Well say hi to him"

"I will,"

"Ok I need to go,"

"Mia I know you didn't call just to ask what im doing and then hang up.. What's going on?"

"Nothing I'm just very tired, very very very tired" I muttered "I don't know what I'm doing with my life anymore"

She cleared her throat "are you ok?"

I nodded then remembered she couldn't see me so I mumbled a yes and told her I need to go so I could do the English assignment which our teacher gave us today she didn't even get to say anything before I hung up. She called me a couple of times later and left me some messages asking if im ok and what's going on but I didn't reply

I rubbed my hands together before calling mom but she didn't pick up i then called dad and he didn't pick up either, i sighed and took my jacket before stepping out of the house shivering at the freezing air that hit my face and bare hands

I locked the door and walked in the neighborhood forgetting about everything

"Amelia!!" I heard someone call out my name

I turned around to see Ethan, my next door neighbor who's two years older than me walking towards me

"Hey bad boy" I said quoting bad boy with my fingers "what are you doing here?" I asked

"Came to visit my parents last night and now mom won't let me go" he chuckled

"Well long time no see" I said elbowing him playfully

"Where you going?" He brought his hands close to his mouth so he can warm them up

"I don't know, I just need some fresh air" I mumbled

"You're always mumbling you know?" He chuckled making me smile

"Yeah I know" I smiled again and started walking "so where are you going?" I asked

"To eat something, wanna join?"

"Hm depends on what we're gonna eat!"

"Do you have anything in mind?" He smirked

"Not really and I'm not that hungry but I'll join cuz I don't have any plans anyway," I smiled

"That's weird, this is the first time you're not hungry cuz I always see you eating"

I looked down at my boots and blushed "I love food" I stroked a piece of my hair behind my ear and looked up to see him staring at me "what?" I smiled

"Nothing" he smiled and turned away

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket which made me slightly jump I mentally cursed at myself for being this jumpy before pulling my phone out to see a text from dad

From Dad 👽: I just saw you called, i was working and I couldn't answer but I just finished which means I'll be heading home soon do you want anything before I come?
