Nolan stares at you as you practice with the others on your soccer team. You smile up at him as you notice him watching you. He blushes slightly a little embarrassed he got caught. You wave at him and he gives a small wave back before you continue to practice.

Y/N Dunbar, the girl Nolan is very taken with. But he knew he had no chance what so ever that you would ever consider going out with him. He tried to kill your brother and your friends. Sure, Liam and him are friends now but how could you date someone that once tried to kill your family? He doesn't even really know why are you even are friends with him now. Plus there was a good chance if he told you his feelings that and you didn't feel the same way, you would never talk to him. He couldn't let that happen your brother and you are his closest friends at this point. He changes the focus from the field when Liam sits down next to him.

"You like her, don't you?" asks Liam while looking at the field

"Like who?" questions Nolan nervously

"My sister." answers Liam looking at Nolan this time

"I don't....like her. I, uh, I like Brittany. Yeah, Brittany, she is, um, really pretty." chokes out Nolan nervously not wanting Liam to know about his crush on Liam's sister

"I can tell when you're lying, dude. And even if I couldn't, you're a bad liar." chuckles Liam

"Okay....I like Y/N....just don't hit me that hard." says Nolan worriedly; thinking Liam would hurt him for liking his sister

"I'm not going to hit you." laughs out Liam

"You aren't?" questions Nolan cautiously

"No...but if you hurt her, I will kick your ass." says Liam giving him a pointed look

"That's fair....but I don't think you will have to worry about that." says Nolan

"Why not?" asks Liam curiously looking at Nolan

"Because I doubt she likes me back and I don't have the confidence to ask her out." answers Nolan

"I think I can help you." says Liam planning as Nolan looks at him confused

"Okay, remember Y/N likes Y/F/R and she is free on Friday night." Liam says

"Now go ask her out and don't think about it." says Liam the next day at school shoving Nolan towards you

Nolan looks back at Liam giving him a nervous look and Liam gives him a thumbs up. Nolan turns back to you nervous.

Okay, Nolan. You can do this. Just ask her out no big deal. He thinks trying to give himself a pep talk

"H-hey....Y/N." says Nolan nervously

"Hey, Nol." You say smiling

He smiles as he sees you smile. Your smile seems to brighten up the whole room.

"So....I was, uh..." starts Nolan looking into your eyes

He couldn't do it.

"I was, uh, thinking we could walk to class together." says Nolan

Nolan was disappointed in himself, that he couldn't work up the nerve to ask Y/N out. He was a coward.

"Of course, we can." You say smiling at him as you shut your locker
