You wake up to the sound of your phone ringing. Looking at your clock you see it's 1 in the morning.
Who is disrupting my peaceful sleep? You think as you grab your phone. You answer it when you see it's Derek.
"Hey Derek ......what's going on?" You ask sleepily
"Hey uh Y/N you left something here during our date." says Derek sounding not tired at all
"Okay, I'll pick it up tomorrow." You reply not thinking it was a big deal
"No! I mean I won't be here tomorrow I um have some supernatural things to do." says Derek weirdly
"Okay, I will be there soon." You say hanging up and slowly crawl out of bed
After almost falling asleep while driving four times you finally arrive at Derek's. Opening the door to Derek's loft you walk over to the couch. You see him staring down at his phone sitting down on the couch but then you hear him sniff. He turns to around face you his eyes are red and puffy making you realize he had been crying.
Why is he crying? He was fine when I left a little while ago. You think but your thoughts are cut off by Derek's voice
"Hey Y/N." he says smiling
You smile back pretending you didn't notice his red puffy eye as you sit down next to him.
"Hey Derbear." You says kissing his cheek as he wraps his arm around your waist pulling you to him
"So what did I forget?" You ask curious
"You left um um this." He says holding up a pair of black boxers
"Derek those are your boxers." You say lighting giggling at Derek who now looks embarrassed
"Oh I guess you're right.." Derek mutters
"Derek what's the real reason?" You ask softly rubbing his back reassuring him that he can tell you
"I had a nightmare you died and got scared. I couldn't calm down so I thought if I saw you I would feel better. I know that's pretty stupid."He says looking down in embarrassment
"Derek it's not stupid. Next time you don't need to lie to me. I will always come if you need me to." You say pulling him into a hug
"Can you stay?" He whispers softly
"Of course." You reply as he moves us to both of playing down with him cuddling you
"I love you Y/N." he says softly starting to falling asleep
"I love you too Derek." You whisper back also starting to go to sleep
